I thought it was a fun character trait, but if too many people find it grating, then maybe I should look at it. Changing this now will be a big job, but I'd rather do it now than later. So this month's poll question is...
"Should El Presidente" keep referring to himself in the third person?

2023-08-13 18:00:52 +0000 UTCYou could keep it in the beginning and during one of the moments where the character further develops/matures he stops. Or have one of the other characters call him out on it eventually. Just some thoughts so you don't have to change the entire dialogue.

Plus, at a suitably dramatic moment if he switches to a much simpler "I", that's shorthand for "things just got real." You know, like if someone notices he's going, "Leave this to me," instead of "Let El Presidente handle this."
