Senku was only able to get as far as he did purely because of Chrome. He collected minerals for years ever since he was a child and Senku was able to use all of what Chrome collected. Another thing Ginro (The one with blonde hair) he didn't do anything with his tongue. Dr. Stone really likes to exxagerate their characters and I think his tongue was supposed to mimic a snake since.
