Ch.13 I Was Bullied So Hard I Was Isekai'ed Into A World of Sword And Magic And Emerged As The Lightning Samurai God To Hatefuck My Former Bully Until She Got Heart Eyes

After managing to tame the wildest beast, Eris Boreas Greyrat, Philip had his butler, Thomas, escort us to our rooms. My room was located relatively close to Eris’ while Rudy’s was a bit further away.

My job as her bodyguard required me to be as close to her as possible, so having a room right beside her was a necessity.

Before she went with Philip, Ghislaine said that she would give me the rundown on how to be a proper bodyguard.

Unlike Ghislaine, I wasn’t primarily a family bodyguard whose job was to guard the whole family. My job was to keep Eris safe. Of course that doesn’t mean that my duty calls for me to turn a blind eye to the others, it just means that Eris is my top priority.

I eyed the large room that was now mine and quickly realized that it was practically the size of the entire second floor of the house I grew up in. It was going to take some getting used to, but I knew I wouldn’t mind seeing this much luxury.

After moving around the room and getting a feel for everything, I made my way out and down the hall toward Rudy’s room.

I barely managed to bring anything here with me. Not even the precious wand that Roxy had given me the day of our graduation.

I did have the rock that Sylphy gave me and the necklace that Lilia was kind enough to leave in my protection, so that set my heart at ease.

I knew Lilia would make sure to keep my wand so chances were I’d be reunited with it again one day.

I reached Rudeus’ door and opened it.

My eye twitched as I watched Rudeus rolling around with his pillow held tight against him and a perverted grin on his face.

He stopped when he noticed me and our eyes locked. I deadpanned at him, unimpressed by whatever he had been up to while he gave me a nervous twitching smile.

“We’re going downstairs to meet Lord Philip.” I ordered and walked out.

… I didn’t even want to know what he was up to.

After a couple seconds I heard Rudy’s footsteps as he ran to catch up to me.

We made our way down the stairs and around the mansion.

I’m going to be honest, I had no fucking idea where we were going and the butler had left us, so we had no guide.

Eventually we came into a rather large room without doors and we spotted Philip sitting on a comfy looking couch beside a red-haired woman with massive breasts that looked exactly like Eris.

I guess we found the beast’s mom.

Eris was sitting beside her mother and she glared at us as her father stood up.

“Ah, Law, Rudeus, you both have come sooner than I expected.” Philip said with an easygoing smile as he clapped his hands once.

We both paused and remembered the quick lesson Philip had given us earlier.

“We have come to serve you and your family, Lord Philip.” I said as I tried my best to repeat the nobleman’s bow. Rudeus did the same beside me.

“That one was even better than the last, yes, you both are quite the fast learners!” Philip clapped again before looking down at the two fiery-haired women. “I don’t believe you two have met my wife yet.”

“No, My Lord, we haven’t.” Rudeus shook his head, his eyes drifted down to her rack before locking onto her intense eyes.

“This is my wife and mother of Eris, Hilda. I expect you both to show her the same respect as you would I.”

“It is a great pleasure to meet you, Lady Hilda. My brother and I look forward to working within your service.” I bowed again. As I looked up I saw Hilda glaring daggers at us. If looks could kill, both of us would be laid out.

“Hmph!” Hilda stood up and left the room, looking incredibly angry.

… Did we do something wrong?

“Please do not take my wife’s attitude the wrong way, she just finds this new… arrangement to be displeasing. In time she will see the importance you both bring to our family.” Philip assured with an apologetic smile.

Rudeus and I stayed quiet but nodded at his words. Seeing our acceptance, Philip gestured for Rudy and I to take our seats in the two chairs in front of the couch Eris was sitting on.

Both of us moved forward and sat as instructed and Philip retook his seat.

“My father, Sauros, Lord of the Fittoa Region and Head of the Boreas family branch, has expressed interest in meeting you both, so you will both wait here with us until he arrives… whenever that may be.”

“As you command.” Rudeus spoke out easily as he glanced at Eris.

The girl clearly looked like she didn’t want to be here with us, but she had probably been ordered by her father to play nice. Though I don’t doubt the lesson I taught her is keeping her in check quite a bit.

We waited for a dozen minutes or so. All the while Philip would dig a bit deeper into our lives.

He started off with a couple questions about Rudeus and our master Roxy before eventually moving onto me where I was bombarded with questions.

Philip dug deep in his questions, asking me what my dreams for the future are, my reasoning for pursuing the blade, and what I know about the current political situation of the Asuran Kingdom.

I answered with the truth, that I had no real dreams besides to pursue the sword and magic, and that sword fighting was fun which is why I liked it so much.

Eris perked up when I mentioned sword fighting and I even saw her grow more interested when Philip complimented me on reaching Advanced in all three Sword Styles.

As for Philip’s question regarding the political situation in the kingdom… I had no idea, and I didn’t care to know. Any interest I had in politics died the moment Lilia told me of her experience in the palace.

Nobles are generally scummy, and I wanted to have no association with them.

Though my job kind of forces me to, so it’s not like I have a say in the matter.

Eventually loud footsteps could be heard approaching at a quick pace and Philip perked up and got to his feet.

“Philip!” A gruff voice called as a relatively tall man walked into the room trailed by Ghislaine.

The black-haired middle aged man with gray-hair on either side locked his red eyes on Philip who dropped down to a knee.

“Father, I am glad to receive your presence in so little-”

“Why didn’t you tell me Paul’s boys were here already?!” The older man cut Philip off and delivered a powerful punch that knocked our employer on his ass.

Philip quickly picked himself up and returned to his kneeling position.

“I had sent Ghislaine to inform you of the two boys' arrival, Father.” Philip said with a lowered head.

“So that’s how it was…” Philip’s father, Sauros Boreas Greyrat, mumbled to himself with stern eyes. “Then you did good, she brought the news to me post haste!”

“Thank you, Father.” Philip picked himself up from the ground and I watched the interaction with no small amount of confusion.

Sauros… just hit Philip, then he praised him for doing a good job, but he didn’t apologize?

I guess I can see where Eris got her attitude from.

“You two, names.” The Boreas Head demanded as he looked at us with a hardened gaze.

“Rudeus Greyrat, Lord Sauros!”

“Law Greyrat, it’s an honor!” Both of us stood up and bowed to the man.

“Hmph, you both are much too respectful to be Paul’s children. Very well, I, Sauros Boreas Greyrat, permit you both to stay in my home!”

Wait, he had considered kicking us out?!

Both Rudeus and I shared a look with bowed heads. This guy was much more dangerous than a little girl like Eris. He was clearly ignorant and stubborn, only he had the political weight to do some real damage.

“Thank you, Lord Sauros.” Rudeus spoke up for the both of us.

“Hmph, yes you shall do.” Sauros cleared his throat and crossed his arms over his chest. “Eris!”

“Yes, grandfather!” Eris stood up and curtsied.

“Learn a thing or two from Paul’s boys!”

Eris pouted at his words and glanced at both of us before nodding slowly.

“Good, now then, I have business to attend to, come, Philip!” Sauros shouted for the last time before turning away and leaving with Philip in tow.

Ghislaine stayed behind as she was likely instructed to do by Lord Sauros.

Which means it was just Rudy, Eris, Ghislaine, and I in the room.

“Have you created a schedule?” Ghislaine asked suddenly, getting all of our attention. Her eyes were locked on Rudeus who looked surprised by the question.

“A schedule… I had to?” Rudy rubbed the back of his head nervously,

“I dunno, I heard Lord Philip talking about it earlier, so you might wanna get on that.” Ghislaine stroked her chin in thought.

“I see, I’ll take your word for it.” Rudeus let out a sigh.

“Is it time for sword training, Ghislaine?!” Eris asked excitedly, and the beast woman gave the noble girl a small smile.

“Sure, we got some time.”

“Yes!” Eris cheered and placed her hands on her hips with a bright smile. That smile began to shrink as she noticed Rudy and I were here. “Hmph!” She turned her head and walked out of the room.

Ghislaine looked at us and shrugged before following her out.

Both Rudeus and I looked at each other with deadpans.

“Do you regret coming here?” He asked dryly.

“You have no idea.” I walked forward, following after them.

“I think I do…” I heard Rudy say as he followed.

We stayed several meters behind Ghislaine as they made their way outside and into the courtyard. I raised a brow at Eris. She was still wearing a dress, did she intend to train with one on?

Eris ran to a clean looking shack and went inside, and when she came out, she was carrying two wooden blades.

She threw one at Ghislaine, which the beastwoman caught with ease. Eris dropped down into a stance before looking down at the long skirt of her dress.

Her face went nearly as red as her hair. She looked over to us and shot us a glare before throwing the sword on the ground and heading back inside.

Both Rudy and I blinked as she went.

… Did she forget that she was wearing a dress?

“She‘ll take a while.” Ghislaine walked toward the wooden sword that Eris dropped and kicked it back toward me.

I stopped it from sliding with my feet and looked at Ghislaine who was waiting for me.

Does she want to spar me already?

I picked up the wooden sword and a small smile graced the beast woman’s lips.

“You’re as good as Paul, aren’t you? Why don’t you show me?” Ghislaine lowered herself and I couldn’t help but feel a smile growing as I dropped into my stance, favoring Water God for the start of my fights.

“I’m not as good as my father… I’m better.” My smile morphed into a grin as Ghislaine rushed forward. My eyes widened as my Battle Aura activated and I narrowly managed to block her attack.

Fast, much faster than Paul!

Instead of locking her blade with mine as Paul usually does, she continued striking at me, using her superior speed to keep me from pushing back. I couldn’t even find a chance to parry any of her attacks as they were all too fast.

As she attempted to swing her blade down, I jumped back instead of blocking it, separating me from her barrage of attacks.

I knew she wouldn’t give me much reprieve, so I didn’t waste any time. Water God is usually very good against Sword God because it favors countering a predictable style like Sword God, but her speed completely takes away my ability to counter.

Which means I need to focus on offense, but using Sword God Style against a Sword King just sounds like a stupid way to lose.

A wild smirk came to my lips as I held my blade with one hand and gathered magic in the other.

Sword God and Water God were out, which means the only way I stood a chance was North God Style.

In other words… random bullshit go!

— Eris Boreas Greyrat —

Eris ran down the stairs and toward the courtyard as fast as she could.

Sword training was her favorite thing to do in the whole world, and Ghislaine was the best teacher!

Initially when Eris had met Ghislaine, she hadn’t thought her any different than the other beastwomen that moved around the mansion, mere pets that lived to follow the orders of her family… but Ghislaine was different.

Ghislaine was strong. Her skill with the blade quickly captivated Eris and left her entranced, and the more she got to learn about the Sword King, the more Eris aspired to be just like Ghislaine.

The beast woman's tales of adventure and battle made Eris’ eyes twinkle. She wanted to be a powerful swordswoman as well, one that went on cool adventures and explored labyrinths with powerful monsters inside and rare treasure!

That’s why she liked her sword training so much, because it was her first step to having an exciting life like Ghislaine!

As Eris continued moving toward the courtyard, the face of the boy that pinned her down came to mind.

A vicious snarl slipped onto her face at the remembrance of earlier. She had hated being pinned down, especially by someone younger than her!

Ghislaine would have never let that happen! Ghislaine was strong enough to kill anyone who tried!

That boy, he’d regret doing that when she was stronger, and she’d make sure of that!

*BANG*

Eris paused as she ran outside. Her eyes widened at the sight of Ghislaine and the stupid little boy clashing blades with one another.

Ghislaine was rushing the boy on all fours, while the blonde blasted water at her to get some space.

He was… fighting Ghislaine?

And hadn’t lost yet?!

Once his feet planted on the ground, he launched toward Ghislaine who responded in kind. Both clashed blades again and the beastwoman managed to knock him back, sending him tumbling to the ground.

He quickly picked himself back up as Ghislaine rushed forward to finish him. A wide grin tugged on his lips and Eris felt her heart rate speed up.

That stupid boy… he was enjoying it. Enjoying the fight!

He raised his blade behind his head and threw it out at Ghislaine who blocked it and moved forward as if its existence hadn’t affected her in any way.

The boy, out of options, held up his hand and created a large ball of water that he launched at Ghislaine, and in a quick motion, she cut through and struck him in the side, sending him flying.

He landed on the ground harshly and rolled onto his back, and Eris realized he was done.

Yet she couldn’t take her eyes off of him.

A boy shorter and younger than her had given Ghislaine a much better fight than Eris ever could have, and that left Eris feeling bitter.

The red-haired girl walked deeper into the courtyard, getting the attention of the stupid boy’s brother and Ghislaine.

“Ghislaine, I want you to go harder on me today!” Eris demanded and Ghislaine paused but nodded nonetheless. Then she glared at the boy’s brother who was staring at her dumbly. “And you, you will teach me that magic he used against Ghislaine!”

“Huh… alright.” The green-eyed boy nodded and Eris hummed, proud of herself for doing what was necessary.

She wanted to be strong, and while she had no previous interest in magic, it was clear that the first water ball had managed to distract Ghislaine.

Eris eyed the downed boy who had begun to pick himself up. She walked toward him and picked up the sword that he had landed near.

Eris pointed the wooden blade at him with determined eyes. “You will spar with me when Ghislaine is busy from now on!”

The blue-eyed boy blinked and winced in pain before nodding.

“Hmph!” Eris turned around to face Ghislaine and dropped into her stance.

She could acknowledge that she wasn’t as strong as the boy, as much as she hated that fact, but she had no intention of keeping things that way.

It just meant she had to work harder!

— Philip Boreas Greyrat —

Philip stared down from the window of his office to see Eris training with Ghislaine in the courtyard.

He had managed to catch part of Law’s fight with Ghislaine, and he had to admit, the boy exceeded his expectations.

It was clear Ghislaine wasn’t going all out, but the fact still stands that he put up a good fight with his use of both swordsmanship and magic to try and even the playing field.

Law was destined to be a powerful swordsman and quite masterful in magic as well, which made him perfect for the Boreas Household.

Philip took a sip of his tea and glanced at his wife who was still brooding. The man let out a sigh and sat on his desk.

“You’re still upset.”

“Of course I am!” Hilda crossed her arms under her bust and glared at him, making Philip narrow his eyes.

“I can understand your anger, believe me, I can, but you must understand, they can help us.”

Hilda didn’t speak, her eyes remained intense even as she averted them to the window.

“Look.” Philip pushed himself off his desk and dropped down on a knee in front of her. He grabbed her hands and delicately rubbed them. “Paul’s sons are strong. Both are already Saint Level Water Mages and even more impressive than that is Law’s proficiency in swordsmanship. Five years old and Advanced in not one, but all three Sword Styles… he’s a prodigy among prodigies. And with him we’ll have what we’ve yearned for.”

Hilda returned her gaze to her husband’s as her eyes softened.

“Imagine what he can be in five years, or ten. He could be a Sword King, or even an Emperor! And then, no one would be able to keep us chained down.” Philip pushed and smiled gently at his wife as he brushed some of her red locks out of her face.

“… You’re sure?”

“I’m certain. Having those Greyrat boys will strengthen our influence and power, and then no one can stop us from taking our boys back.”

Author’s Note: I’ve mostly wrapped up with moving but there are still some issues I need to resolve which is rather troublesome. Anyway I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.

Comments

That’s kind of a shame since Philips plan won’t go through with the whole… Teleport incident. Especially since the Boreas Family all dies because of it. Except Eris and I think the Sons we’ve never heard of again.

Man, the phrase "Men plan, and God laugh as they kick your shit in." Has never applied more than to Philip's plans for Rudeus and Law
