First of All, I am Vegeta Ch.27

— Freeza —

He sat in his floating chair, frowning boredly as he stared off into the emptiness of space. In front of him was the entirety of his empire, the same empire that he should be enforcing his supremacy over, yet he was here.

“Have you nothing more to say?” The biggest annoyance of his existence asked with a sly smirk.

“The Universe is mine, Father decreed as much, didn’t you?” Freeza asked with a glare at his older brother before he turned his attention to his father, King Cold, who was sitting on a throne in Second Form, passively looking across the room as if he didn’t even want to be there.

He didn’t; none of them did, but this family was skewed, messed up, and utterly hostile

“I did.” King Cold breathed out a tired sigh. “However, I believe I gave Cooler a segment that was to go untouched.” His voice grew more stern at that last word, and Freeza scoffed.

“He’s nothing but a weakling!” Freeza declared with clenched fists gripping his chair. “The Universe is mine, all of it, and I don’t care-”

Freeza.” The room grew cold as their father let his ki leak out of his body, and Freeza immediately grew silent. It was rare for his father ever to let his ki flow, but when he did, it meant he was serious, and no matter how well things turned out after he did, someone was going to die

The entire room was silent, and it was clear to all members of the family that the soldiers around them were nearly pissing themselves at the three-way standoff.

“...”  Freeza remained quiet as his father, the former ruler of the Universe leaned forward in his seat. The older Frost Demon’s lips turned upward as his aura began to die down.

“Enough. How many years must I spend drilling into your minds that you are not enemies. Freeza, you are my Heir, yes, but remember that is remains because of your power, in terms of brains, your older brother has you beat.” King Cold said unapologetically with a small laugh at the end, making Freeza narrow his eyes at him.

“That being said, you still are my rightful heir, as such you will rule what I have given you and what you can continue to claim as you expand. However you will not take from Cooler, I will not argue with you over this. What has been given can be taken away with no skin off my tail, never forget that.”

Freeza’s clenched his fists within his floating chair and closed his eyes and mouth, attempting to hide his gnawing teeth and rageful eyes. It took him a few seconds before he reeled his anger back in, and when he did, a look of utter indifference showed falsely on his alien features.

“As you say, Father.”

King Cold nodded pleased and turned to Cooler.

“Are you satisfied with that?”

“No, but I’ll take what I can get.” Cooler rolled his eyes before giving Freeza one last victorious look.

Freeza wanted nothing more than his brother’s head mounted above his bed with his tail thrown into a delicious stew, but now wasn’t the time to claim the entirety of the Universe—not yet.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door and for a moment the three parties looked at one another for a few moments.

“Enter.” King Cold ordered and a moment later, a purple alien walked in and saluted.

“Lord Cold, Lord Freeza, Lord Cooler, I apologize for my interruption!”

“Why have you disturbed us? Speak quickly, your life depends on it.” King Cold leaned forward in his seat and immediately the messenger started sweating.

“R-Right, I have come to report t-that Squad 317 seems to have perished!”

The other two members of his family looked utterly uncaring while Freeza began trying to remember which squad that even was.

Then a bright light filled his eyes as he recalled that the squad was the one before Vegeta’s Squad number of 318.

“The squad with Cui then?” Freeza asked curiously as his tail swayed.

“Yes sir!”

“How is that important news?” Cooler raised a brow and Freeza didn’t blame his brother  for being so stupid, after all only one brother could be born to rule and it could never have been him.

“It’s none of your business.”

“I am curious as well, Freeza.” Their father cut in and immediately Freeza pouted at the old alien who was clearly taking his older brother’s side today!

“...Of course, Father. Cui, while of little importance, was a rather…dilligent soldier, in his most recent mission, he embarked on a manhunt, or perhaps I should say, a monkey hunt.”

Immediately the two members of his family understood his words a bit more clearly.

“Hm, I see, so the Saiyans are missing?” King Cold questioned more to himself than anyone as he stroked his chin.

“Was there audio of their deaths?” Cooler asked quite curiously and the soldier quickly stood up taller.

“There was, My Lords! Not only that, but mere moments before the death Squad 317 we picked up audio of Prince Vegeta’s voice.”

The words of the alien intrigued everyone present.

“Then he’s alive after all.” Zarbon shook his head gracefully, getting his long hair out of his face.

“Who woulda thought.” Dodoria held down a laugh.

“Freeza.” His Father called and the youngest of the Frost Demons looked over to the oldest. “That Saiyan cannot be allowed to breathe any longer.”

“I understand.” Freeza answered after a moment. He could understand his Father’s worry. Vegeta was clearly growing in strength, the fact that he could take down Squad 317 proves that much, that being said, they were not worried about having Vegeta challenge them one day, in fact, they encouraged it. It was always hilariously fun when some orphan they spared showed up at their doorstep screaming about bloody revenge and “saving the universe” only to have their goals and dreams slowly pulled away, much like their souls from this mortal realm.

It’s honestly a good way to pass the time.

But no, what has his Father so concerned is the sheer…primal behavior of Saiyans. If Vegeta located a habitable planet with compatible mates, Freeza would be surprised if there weren’t already 10+ Saiyan children running around.

It’s not that Vegeta holds the potential to challenge them, it’s that a million Vegeta’s would pose a threat to their army

It still wouldn’t be enough to take down Freeza and his family, but his soldiers would stand no chance against another Saiyan army, it’d be an uncalled for war, and the last thing he needed was a war.

Freeza gave a side-eye look to Cooler who was returning the look.

Such a war would be call for the beginning of theirs.

Freeza may let his emotions rule him from time to time, but he fully understood how much of a jealous soul Cooler was and continues to be. He wants the Universe their Father bestowed onto him and he’d do anything to get it. As for their Father, he would remain neutral should they start fighting, likely because he wishes to enjoy his retirement in peace.

“Is that all you have to say?” King Cold asked the messenger, earning a slow nod as Freeza’s father raised his hand and blasted a red beam of ki through the messenger’s name. “A note for your next life, it’s King Cold, not Lord Cold.”

“So what will you be doing about the monkeys, Freeza?”

Again Freeza was prepared to mention how it’s none of his business but the curiosity in his father’s eyes stalled him.

“Isn’t it obvious? I’ll send a dozen or so squads to deal with him.” Freeza replied boredly, only to earn a disappointed frown from his father.

“No.” The oldest Frost Demon shook his head. “This is a problem that cannot be allowed to fester longer than necessary. It will be done correctly the first time around.” As King Cold began to ponder on just how that could be done, a disappointed look crossed his face. “Perhaps I killed the messenger too soon, we didn’t learn what planet the monkeys are hiding on.”

“I believe his next target was Earth, something we picked up through Nappa’s scouter.” Zarbon spoke freely for the first time and Freeza nodded recalling that little tidbit of information.

“Earth…why does that sound familiar.”

“Because it’s the same planet that wrinkly old snail has his eyes set on.”

“Ah yes, I see now.” King Cold nodded with a small smile. “What are the odds of that? I believe I have a rather…simple fix to this problem then.”

“Oh do you?” Freeza asked in mock surprise, and his Father nodded, his smile growing a few levels.

“That old plant owes us more than a few favors for his crew and tech, perhaps he can start repaying us now. That being said, I believe throwing a little…insurance wouldn’t hurt.

King Cold touched his scouter and grinned wickedly as a light chime played on it.

“Ginyu, gather your force and meet me within the next five minutes.”

— Vegeta (Two Weeks After Nappa’s Party) —

I let out a groan as I walked out of the Gravity Chamber for the day. Kakarot, Gohan, Piccolo, Raditz and I had just finished putting in some extra work. In terms of our strength, all of us can work in 100x gravity, though Kakarot and I can handle it much easier than the others.

“That was fun, wasn’t it, Vegeta?” Kakarot chuckled as he threw his arms behind his head and looked up at the night sky.

“It was…something,” I answered slowly. “Our progress has been stalling recently, as things stand, our training is inefficient.”

My words were true. Now that Kakarot and I were able to handle 100x gravity with no problem, there wasn’t really much that pushed us past our limits. The gravity machine doesn’t go beyond 100x, and while Bulma said it’s possible to raise it beyond that, she doesn’t have the necessary parts to do it yet.

The fact of the matter is alien technology and materials eclipse Earth by a wide margin, and while Bulma is a genius mind, there’s only so much she can do without the right parts. Asking her to raise the gravity chamber up to 500x, or even 200x as things stand now, would be like asking her to make chicken salad out of chicken shit; it’s just not happening.

“Yeah, you’re right about that.” Kakarot hummed thoughtfully. “We should be close to that Super Saiyan thingy you were talking about, right?”

“No,” I said plainly, making the younger Saiyan raise a brow.

“Really? How strong do we have to be?!”

“I don’t know, but as we are now, I doubt our bodies could handle the strain of the legend.” I stopped and clenched my fist as I looked up to the cloudy dark sky.

We don’t have advanced scouters to measure our power levels, so I don’t actually know how strong we are, but I know for a fact we’re nowhere near the one million mark. If I remember correctly, in his fight with Freeza, Kakarot was around three million power level when he became Super Saiyan, though he seemed to maintain it relatively comfortably, enough to fight Freeza, fly around the planet and find a ship to escape the dying world.

As things stand, I think even attempting to go Super Saiyan would cause us harm, and if I had to give a bare minimum power level for it, I’d say around one million, and even then, Super Saiyan wouldn’t be enough to beat Final Form Freeza.

“We need to find a way as soon as possible,” I said quietly, almost too low for the others to hear me.

“If Freeza’s as strong as you say he is, then I agree with you.” Piccolo grunted with crossed arms.

“But how, Prince Vegeta?” Raditz tilted his head with a beat of sweat dripping down his brow. “We’ve spent months training, and though we’ve been getting stronger, we’re still too far away.”

Gohan and Kakarot stayed silent. The Half-Saiyan boy looked genuinely confused and worried for the future while Kakarot stared at me with a face that conveyed the seriousness of the situation.

“...” I remained silent. There was more than one way I could think of to attain the power we needed to beat Freeza. The reason why I hadn’t used any of them yet is nothing more than the pride that fills my chest and the Vegeta in me talking.

I inherited all of Vegeta’s memories, as well as his thoughts, feelings, and personality. I’ve not only seen, but lived through the endless training he did against saibamen, the strolls he took around the Royal Saiyan Palace, his time with his mother and father, and above all else, the extinction of the Saiyan race and the utter nonchalance of Freeza.

Vegeta hates Freeza, and knowing everything I know now about the freaky alien fuck, I hate him too. My foreknowledge of what happens in the show only bolsters that hatred, and it's because of all of this why my body and mind strive to grow without using any underhanded tactics.

To look down at Freeza as he grovels at my feet as I smirk down at him, knowing I beat him with my own strength.

That being said, I wasn’t an idiot, I understand that using all the bullshit hacks I have around me would be a good idea to ensure we win.

There’s just a minor problem with that for the time being.

The Dragon Balls are inactive. They were used some months back to bring back Kakarot, meaning we can’t make any wishes for now. As for the Fruit of the Tree of Might, we could use that, but for one, it would take a while to find a habitable planet to grow the tree, and two, the Earthlings would probably hate us for ruining the ecosystem and killing the population of an innocent planet.

My plan was honestly to wait the year for the dragon balls to return, make a wish for a habitable planet with tons of non-sentient life, then plant the tree for a fuckton of fruit. That way, everyone will be happy, and by then, Freeza should have already been dealt with.

The examples I just mentioned cannot be done anytime soon, but that being said, there are still a few ways we can grow strong enough to counter Freeza within the month…if we abuse them.

First of all, Zenkais. It probably wouldn’t work as much as I’d want it to because I know that zenkais are very inconsistent. When Nappa, Raditz, and I were training in space years back, we’d almost always reach the point where we needed to use a healing pod to regenerate our bodies, and the zenkai boosts we’d get would be…miniscule at best.

I believe it was a matter of the threats around us that affected how strong we grew. Still, I recall memories of Vegeta getting his ass beat by Saibamen when he was younger as Freeza watched on. Upon healing, his power had grown almost unnoticeably so, and I know for a fact he viewed Freeza as a threat to his very existence

However, maybe it just didn’t work because of how weak I was and how much damage was sustained. There’s not enough knowledge of zenkais, and now that I think about it, I should probably have Bulma study myself and the rest of the Saiyans while we train and recover from absorbing as much data as she can.

“I think I know a way we can get in some better training, Vegeta,” Kakarot said, cutting me out of my thoughts.

I raised a brow and gestured for him to continue.

“What if I told you there’s a place where we can get a year's worth of training in a single day with enough space for us to fight to go all out?” The Saiyan raised on Earth grinned at me while Raditz and Gohan looked surprised by the news. Piccolo looked utterly unsurprised and a wild smirk split my lips.

The Hyperbolic Time Chamber was my second go to right after Zenkais, and honestly, using the Time Chamber would increase the rate at which we get zenkais anyway.

“Tell me more about this place.”

— ??? —

“We’re drawing near our destination, my Lord.” One of his many dispensable soldiers announced as the short man dropped to a knee.

“Good, and what of the power levels on the planet?”

“From what we’ve scanned, sir, none seem to exceed two thousand. Proceeding as planned shouldn’t result in any real problems.” The man answered with his head lowered, making the lord scratch his chin in contemplation.

The old green lord had seen many things throughout his life. He picked up many different kinds of magic and ki techniques during his long existence.

The concept of hiding power levels was not foreign to him, and it was not hard to learn.

This planet…Earth, though it was relatively uncommon for creatures of planets to possess such an ability, for a planet with a pair of dragon balls on them only to have fighters with a power level of two thousand…

It was unheard of

The dying man let out a deep groan as he recalled his time on Planet Namek.

Weak as some of the Namekians may be, their forces had many great strengths. The magic of the Dragon Clan and the might of the Warrior Clan went hand in hand.

His people were strong, and from his long life experience, only a Namekian, or someone well versed in Dragon Clan magic, could make a set of dragon balls.

Attaining these dragon balls for his purpose wouldn’t be as easy as strolling onto the planet and taking them for himself; he’d be foolish to believe that.

“Two thousand…doubtful, send scouts of four thousand power levels down to the planet to clear out those “weaklings” only then shall we proceed.”

“As you command, it shall be done, Lord Slug.”

A wicked grin morphed on Slug’s aged face as the weak soldier left his sight. Soon, very soon, he’d have his chance. The Dragon Balls, his wish, and his youth

It would all be his in due time

— Chapter End —

Author’s Note: I had a harder time writing this, but aye I got it done. I may make edits to this chapter in the future in case I want to change some things around so look out for those when/if I do.

Comments

I do think you got it right in the chap, I was just throwing this in here for other commenters

Rhett Sellers

Frieza in his 100% final form was about 100 million, and ssj goku was about 150 million. Goku got up to 3 million, but the ssj multiplier is 50x, hence the 150 million. Frieza was only a million in one of his earlier power levels in the battle (though i dont remember which one with all the transformations)

Rhett Sellers

I'll give a rough power level after they leave the chamber, we're getting closer to the point where numbers just don't mean jack shit anymore so I want to stop giving power levels soon enough. The Freeza fight may be the last time I do.

Kakukami

So how powerful are the Saiyans and the Z-Warriors now? Or will you give us the power level list after the hyperbolic time chamber training?
