First of All, I am Vegeta Ch.24

— Vegeta (The Next Morning) —

Consciousness filled me, yet I wasn’t in my body. I was somewhere completely different, in a void of white that was utterly blinding, yet I could see clearly.

It was a weird place, one that left my soul shivering in discomfort.

“Where the hell am I?” I asked aloud, and my voice echoed in the endless void.

“Yeah, I’ll take you now.” The voice said, and suddenly, I was in a very nicely decorated room. As I regained my focus, I looked up to a six-eyed man who looked at me with a proud smile.

“You’ve taken to the role of Vegeta well.”

The voice was all too familiar. As if it was impossible to forget it.

This was, without a doubt, the R.O.B. that reincarnated me.

“Why am I here? Did I die again?”

“No, nothing like that.” He shook his head. “Just wanted to have a little chat and explain something to you, though it seems like you more or less figured it out after Raditz showed up with a healthy Half-Saiyan baby girl.”

“So this has to do with the Time Patrollers and Time Breakers?” I asked, earning a nod from the being.

“They won’t bother you, at least not anytime soon. Whether you wish to create and interact with them is entirely up to you.”

“So they don’t exist?” I asked with a tilt of my head.

“In other World-Lines, yes, but in yours, no. Simply put, your timeline is the first of its kind, and I created it. That is the boon you earned from me. Utterly no interference from any outside forces. Usually, I randomize the boons I give, but seeing as you would have got assfucked the moment you slipped up, I decided to take matters into my own hands.”

I let out a surprised breath and looked down.

This…changes everything!

“Indeed it does.”

Ah, right, forgot he can do that.

“Wait, you said I can create the Time Patrol and Time Breakers?” I asked with a raised eyebrow, and the sketchy man nodded.

“You could, as your World Line is unique, the Time Patrol has yet to be founded. Once you finish your journey throughout the Universes and truly wish to start a new journey you could create the Time Patrol and embark on that, or you could have someone else create it for you.”

That was…incredible! Not only was this boon incredibly freeing, but it also gave me something to do later down the line when I actually dealt with all the threats and claimed the Universes as my own.

I could create a nice little home outside of time, a kingdom for me to enjoy along with my family and loved ones.

A grin came to my lips as I stood up from the chair and held out my hand.

“Thank you.” My words were genuine and came from deep within my heart. This being, as endlessly shady and creepy as he is, had given me a second chance and improved my existence.

“I had a feeling you were a Tsundere.” The R.O.B. grinned and grabbed my hand firmly, giving it a good shake. “Now then, out of my office. Once you’ve completed your World Line and no longer see reason to remain there, return here, we can talk about the future.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.” I nodded, and my body was immediately bathed in another flash of white light.

— Back in Dragon Ball —

My eyes fluttered open and the familiar feeling of a light weight on my body brought a smile to my face as I looked down and my vision was filled with silky blue hair.

Waking up beside this woman never gets tiring, even if her endless libido does from time to time.

Training always comes before sex.

…Most of the time.

I shook my head and gently removed myself from the bed as I tried my best not to wake up the woman pregnant with my child.

Key word: tried.

A breathy huff escaped her delicate pink lips, and a moment later, her blue eyes, covered in soft blue lashes, fluttered open to grace the world with her brilliant gaze.

“I didn’t mean to wake you.” I frowned, and as the naked woman gained some understanding of her consciousness, she gave me a stunning smile and stretched her perfect body.

“You’re bad at that.” She let out a soft laugh as she pushed her body up and approached me. As she reached me, she wrapped her arms around my neck and leaned in to kiss my lips softly. “Are you going to train again soon?”

“Always,” I smirked down at her and enjoyed the feeling of her soft mounds pressing against my chest.

“When that lizard Freeza is finally dealt with, will we finally get to have some morning fun~?” Bulma asked as her hand gently grasped my length and gave it a few pumps.

“Initially.” I frowned. “However, a Saiyan Warrior is useless if unprepared for a battle. Some beings surpass even Freeza out there.” I said quietly, which made her eyes widen in shock.

“A-Are you serious?!” she asked, and it seemed I’d thoroughly killed any chance of her slipping back into bed.

“I am.” I nodded.

“...Vegeta. Do y-you plan on f-fighting them?” She asked, and I could see the worry in her eyes, but I chuckled softly at the look she was giving me.

“Of course,” I answered, and before she could speak again, I wrapped my arms tighter around her waist. “I am a Saiyan Prince, but I am still a Saiyan Warrior. My body, blood, and pride all scream for me to fight and conquer the strongest foes with my own might.”

“The beings out there that I wish to challenge would utterly destroy Freeza with a flex of their aura. A mere flick of their wrist would be enough to easily wipe away a Solar System, and I want to reach that level one day. So yes, I plan on fighting them, but that will not be for many years.”

Bulma’s eyes stared deeply into mine. Within hers, I could see surprise, worry, and underlying fear. Yet, deeper in those inspiring blue orbs, I could see her belief in my words. She could see my goal, even if she couldn’t imagine the enemies I would need to face to achieve it.

She closed her eyes and, a second later, huffed as she looked at me sternly. “The longer I spend around you Saiyans, the more I realize how little control I have over what you lot do.”

I grinned at that and leaned closer to her, taking her lips in a loving kiss. Only once I had my fill did I pull back, but Bulma’s locked arms around my neck kept me from moving too far away from her. My grin grew at seeing our faces were just centimeters apart, and the needy look in her eyes told me she didn’t want me to leave her arms.

“That will change in time.” I started as my expression grew a bit more serious, and judging by the shift in Bulma’s body language, she understood I had something important to say. “You may not understand now, but perhaps it’s time you do. You’re my woman, my chosen mate, that much is true without even taking into account our child growing in your womb.”

A deep blush came to her cheeks as she turned her head away from me, but I quickly tightened my grip around her waist with one hand, and grabbed her chin with my other, tilting her face back to mine.

“Bulma, as is my will, I ask of you today, give me your life and become my bride.” I requested, and Bulma’s eyes widened in surprise.

“...V-Vegeta!”

A smiled softly at her surprised expression. “I know this is rather sudden, but I’ve intended to do this since I learned you were pregnant. Will you accept?”

Bulma had practically frozen, her entire face was red and her mouth was left hung open. After several seconds of her being like that, I actually started to become worried before she mashed her lips against mine, and as quickly as she did, she pulled away.

“Yes, Vegeta!” The moment those two words of acceptance left her lips, she kissed me again, and as I enjoyed the taste of her lips, happiness bubbled in my chest.

I was never married in my last life, but since the day I became Vegeta, I had a feeling I’d be marrying Bulma, and here I stand today, with her in my arms after she accepted my proposal.

I feel on top of the world!

Perhaps at the start of my tenure as her lover I may not have cared for her emotionally, but over time I grew to enjoy the presence of her sassy, and determined personality.

I had knocked this woman up, I would sure as hell be taking responsibility like a man.

Eventually, we pulled away from one another as Bulma had to catch her breath, and I smirked down at her.

“I have plans, Bulma, to truly reclaim my royal position. As things stand, there are a limited number of Saiyans, but in the near future, that can change, and I want you there with me for it all.”

“V-Vegeta, d-do you know what you’re asking me?” She questioned nervously, and I nodded.

“Though I claim to be the Prince of all Saiyans, I renounce my true authority over the Saiyans, at least not until Freeza is dead. Only then will I take the throne and the title of King of the Saiyans. When that day comes, I want you beside me, as my Queen.”

“Vegeta…” Bulma blushed and averted her gaze from me. “Are you sure you want me?”

“I wouldn’t have asked if I wasn’t sure.” I answered after a second, and though I could see Bulma wanted to say something else, she instead placed her arms and head on my chest and l closed her eyes, enjoying my warmth.

I stood there with her in my arms for a few minutes, both of us enjoying each other’s company in the silence of the room.

Thoughts of the future danced in my mind. I was dead serious when I said I wanted to bring back the Saiyan race, whether that be through finding a way to bring the dead Saiyans back to life or starting an entirely new Saiyan race here on Earth. Now that the Time Patrol wasn’t a threat, I could go whatever path I wanted, as long as I could find a way to do it.

And honestly, I wanted to do both

— Goku —

“Ha!” Goku roared as he rushed toward Vegeta, who smirked and blocked his punch. Goku grinned at the wall of a Saiyan he had punched and threw another, which Vegeta swatted away before following up with his own attack.

Goku narrowly managed to block the attack, and because of that, Vegeta followed up with another punch, sending Goku skidding backward.

He let out a grunt and dropped to a knee as sweat pooled beneath him.

One hundred times Earth’s gravity was no joke, but fighting Vegeta in it was really good training!

They both had progressed to the point where walking in this level of gravity wasn’t too hard for them, and they could train all day without being utterly exhausted by the end of it—not that they would though. The others simply weren’t on the same level as Vegeta and Goku, even if they were doing their best to catch up.

That thought sent a small wave of pride through the Saiyan raised on Earth.

Thoughts of Gohan trying his hardest to power through the intense training, working his hardest to keep up with all the adults—it warmed Goku’s heart and filled him with pride.

Gohan was going to be the strongest of all of them one day. Goku knew that to be a fact, and it was only a matter of time before that power he used against Raditz accelerated him beyond anything anyone had seen before.

“Are you finished, Kakarot?” Vegeta asked with a small frown, and though Goku normally would have shot back at Vegeta with a joke and continued, now wasn’t the time.

RUMBLE

The rumbling of Goku’s stomach reverberated through the inside of the ship, which made Vegeta pause before the older Saiyan dropped his stance and let out a calm breath.

“Hehe, guess I am, you’re really something else, Vegeta.”

“As are you, Kakarot. It’s only a matter of time now until we breach the realm of legends.” Vegeta chuckled with his signature smirk.

Goku grinned widely at Vegeta. The form of legend, a Super Saiyan

— Flashback —

“Freeza fears the might of the Saiyan Legend, so my Saiyans gathered here today. Let me show you the path to ultimate power, to becoming a Super Saiyan.

Goku’s entire body stilled at Vegeta’s words, and his body practically vibrated with some unknown sense of calling. He couldn’t pinpoint what his body was trying to tell him, but he knew he needed to learn more.

“A Super Saiyan,” Goku whispered out with a small, thoughtful frown.

“You believe we’re truly on the cusp of the legend, Prince Vegeta?” Turles asked with several beads of sweat on his face.

“Indeed. Call it nothing more than my Saiyan Instincts, but I believe we’re close.”

“How about you let us non-Saiyans into the mix,” Piccolo grunted as he crossed his arms over his large chest. “What is this Super Saiyan.”

“Yeah, and are you sure it can match someone as strong as Freeza?! You yourself said Freeza’s power level may be as high as a hundred million! How could whatever a Super Saiyan is compare?!” Yamcha asked almost hysterically, and Goku looked toward Vegeta.

He had to agree; he had no idea how some Saiyan legend could increase their power by that much. Freeza’s power seemed unreachable, not that Goku truly believed it to be, but he didn’t understand how they could push themselves there so fast.

Everyone awaited Vegeta’s response as he stared at them before a small smile tugged at the prince’s lips.

“A Super Saiyan is a legend that has existed within Saiyan myth for thousands of years. Before even the establishment of the Saiyan Kingdom.” Vegeta started. “It is said to be a form, birthed of power and will, with light that radiates brighter than any star. Many Saiyans believe it to be nothing more than what it is known as, a mere myth.”

“Yet you think differently.” Piccolo narrowed his eyes.

“I know differently.” Vegeta clarified with a knowing smirk. “I was born to Royalty; I know more about Saiyans than every Saiyan here combined, even Nappa.”

“Are you sure about that, Vegeta?” Nappa asked with a challenging smile.

“Goddamn it, not now, Nappa!” Vegeta shouted before he took a calming breath. Nappa was still grinning, utterly unaffected by Vegeta.

“Listen, I won’t get into the specifics of Saiyan history, just know there was a Super Saiyan in the past, a powerful one, who forced the Saiyan tribes to kneel before him. His might was unmatched throughout the cosmos, and some even claim he was a god-”

The eyes of everyone around widened. A god? Like Kami? Or maybe even like King Kai?

“-I doubt he was.” Vegeta clarified after a pause. “Though I do believe he wielded the power to put even the gods on edge.”

“And you believe you Saiyans can reach that legend?” Krillin asked with a nervous smile.

“I know we can; I only wonder how long it will take us,” Vegeta answered.

“Vegeta!”

“Not now, Nappa.”

“Then, how do you become this legend that may very well be a myth?” Tien asked, and even Goku could tell that the three-eyed man looked unconvinced.

“Power and strong emotion, that is my speculation, and one I believe to be fact.” Vegeta closed his eyes before he opened them and looked down at Gohan.

“You, Gohan. I believe you to be the closest to the legend out of all of us.”

The entire group looked at Gohan in shock, but Goku could see why Vegeta had said that.

If Raditz had told him about what happened during their fight, and the key to becoming a Super Saiyan was truly emotion and strength, then Gohan was the closest to it.

Gohan’s power exploded that day. It multiplied a hundred times over, and he managed to cause more damage to Raditz than both he and Piccolo could. They’d spent their entire lives training.

Gohan was destined for greatness.

“Then what’s the plan going forward, Prince Vegeta?” Raditz questioned.

Vegeta turned to the larger Saiyan and shrugged.

“Shouldn’t it be obvious? We train. Saiyans, push yourselves beyond your limits and ascend; let the glorious Saiyan race look down upon us in awe and reverence, and let their spirits cheer us on as we decimate Freeza and his army!”

— End of Flashback —

As he and Vegeta left the ship, Goku had a feeling Vegeta’s words were true. That the form of legend was truly within reach, and in time, it would only take a push to bring them there.

The thought of both him and Vegeta managing to rise to that level and sparring to see who was stronger sounded like Goku’s greatest fantasy!

“You both are done already?” Krillin raised an eyebrow after spotting them.

“I got a little hungry, hehe!” Goku scratched the back of his head sheepishly as he laughed, while Vegeta just smiled with his eyes closed.

“Sounds like you.” Krillin let out a sigh before he looked at the ship.

“Mind if we go for a turn?” Tien asked behind Krillin, and the eyes of the Earthlings fell on Vegeta.

“Break a leg.” Vegeta offered before he made his way back inside of Capsule Corp.

“He sure is…inviting.” Krillin frowned the Saiyan Prince’s way, and Goku nodded.

“He’s warming up nicely. I think Bulma has something to do with it.” Goku chuckled before he looked at Yamcha and realized what he said.

“It’s fine.” Yamcha grimaced and walked past Goku.

“He’ll get over it.” Tien pat Goku on the shoulder before following Yamcha into the ship.

“If you see Amond and the others, send them this way.” Krillin grinned at Goku, and the Saiyan gave his best friend a thumbs up.

“Will do!”

Author’s Note: Some things in my life have been affecting me negatively, which is why I haven’t really had a drive to write recently. That being said, I won’t and will not ever stop just because bad shit is happening, and I don’t feel like writing.

On another note, I utterly disregarded the R.O.B scene and didn’t even consider it a part of the word count when I was writing this chapter. Just wanted to make things clear about how the world worked, which is why I included it in the first place.

Comments

Thanks for the chapter

Nazarickk

Still unsure as of right now, but it probably won't go beyond six.
