2024-09-27 14:01:59 +0000 UTCThat makes total sense, it's more comfortable to watch it in English I bet, I actually saw it in spanish growing up but when I started getting more into anime I just switched everything to Japanese and I absolutely love how much emotion the voice actors put in the original subs especially for DBZ, the emotions their voices portray are so genuine and while a dub can be good it's never as good because there's always a few things that are missed on translation.

2024-09-26 23:26:46 +0000 UTCI can see where you're coming from but at the same time I have never once watched a single episode of dragon ball in sub so it would just be weird for me having to get used to new voices. matter of fact I haven't even watched dragon ball in eng dub either lol I watched it in Hindi dub. I just seen clips in eng so at least it feels a little more normal.

I sometimes get they have a woman VA like Naruto did, but that one made sense since the voice fits his age, even as he grows older. Goku's Japanese VA doesn't have the deep voice to convey the rage/screaming that Goku is iconic for.

So if someone with 6000 power level have to fuse with someone who has 5000 power level, the first guy had to lower his to 5000 too and get a 10000 power level fusion. Potaras doesn't have that rule and can make the fusion have 11000 power level instead.

2024-09-26 11:05:57 +0000 UTCAgree on most anime but definitely not dragon ball. DB is the only anime where I prefer dub over sub for the simply fact that I highly dislike goku sub VA. Her voice does not match the character and Sean Schemmel puts so much emotion into his voice acting. Dragon Ball is one of the only anime where it doesn't feel like the English VAs are simply there to get a check and actually care about who they are voicing
