It's one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever witnessed in an anime. This arc is so amazingly written, being able to make you love a character so much in such a short time.

2023-08-19 10:49:27 +0000 UTCjust wanna clear up confusion, the movie that is a MUST watch before season 3 is Ordinal Scale. the SAO progressive movie is a retelling of season 1 with more detail and from a different perspective but it has no impact on the final seasons whereas OS does. can't wait!

2023-08-08 02:06:37 +0000 UTCBoth GGO and Mothers Rosario already had 7 episodes per volume, that's a rarity for anime adaptations today and Mothers Rosario is the best adapted story in the entire TV series so I don't really think 3 episodes more would have done that much good. Hell the way I know the anime community if they went with 8 episodes per volume people would have started to clamour about it being to slow and drawn out, Well on top comes that some people aren't capable of differentiating between cours, arcs and seasons, they talk about Season 2 being shit but are actually talking about the Fairy Dance arc, the second half of season 1.

I enjoyed the arc but just think how much better it could have been if Mothers Rosario or GGO was 3 episodes longer instead. There is a argument to be made for Excalibur though, itβs a nice relaxing break between the more heavy GGO and Mothers Rosario arcs.

For another movie like SAO Progressive, the best way to watch it is when you already done the series, cause it will have some cameo from newchara in s3.
