Apparently, in one of the novels, Yourichi revealed that she doesn't use her Zanpakto because her Shunko technique makes her even stronger than she is with her Zanpakto. However, because of this she has to comfort her Zanpakto spirit on a regular basis, since it feels a bit abandoned.

Fun fact, Bankai written is kanji looks like that 卍解 And about Byakuya saying he'll use only one sword... technically, even if all those sword in Senkei form would attack Ichigo at once, Byakuya would still be using only one sword - his Senbonzakura xDD And now, we're entering a true greatness of Bleach xD
