A tailed beast biju bomb, heh, lol, you're not actually as far off as you might think, from what I understand of Naruto. Also, something interesting from a databook, that blast is spiritual light, and as such is a lightspeed attack. And Ichigo reacted to it. Even this early on in the show, Ichigo is a heck of a lot stronger and faster than a lot of people realize. Attacks in Bleach are generally very tightly focused, packing a lot more destructive force into a much smaller space than you'd think at first glance. All factions in Bleach have plenty of reason to avoid causing more collateral damage than absolutely necessary, and so they all do a pretty darn good job of making it so that all of their destructive force hits their target, and little else. Whatever splash damage there may be, is actually just the tiny part of the attack that the person launching the attack wasn't able to fully control into hitting their target and nothing else.
