These are inspired by Indonesian traditional costumes. The casual type of kebayas are usually made out of hand-woven cloth (top) and paired with hand-painted batik cloth (traditionally wrapped around as a skirt/sarong). While the formal type kebayas are decorated with more embroidery or made out of brocade. We usually wear the brocade ones for special occasions like weddings or college graduations (Idk why this has become a tradition, I didn't wear kebaya when I graduated, but many--I mean MANY--of other girls wore kebaya, even my oldest sister wore one on her graduation day).

If you go to Bali, you will see a lot of women there wearing this kind of kebaya when they go to temples. The point is, Kebaya is like the Kimono and Yukata for Japanese.
Anyways, enjoy the CC! <3
