This was nearly impossible to find, in a collection, with the rest of Twin Peaks, until recently. It feels like its own movie! And when more answers are revealed, more questions are asked. I've watched a lot of shows and films over the past couple decades, and nothing comes close to this. That's where Laura jumped off James' bike before she went off to the forest, they filmed a shot where Laura jumped off the bike and the camera moved down to show the flower Doc had dropped. They must have deleted that part as no one has seen it, makes you wonder what else went missing. Also you can see from the cut see why Doc was so upset when he uncovered Laura's corpse as she was so close to his family for years. And there is a reason that James and Donna got together so quickly, Laura didn't want him calling the phone to his house. Instead James called Donna so messages could be passed to Laura and during these conversations is where the spark built up. In the club called the Pink Room Laura also mentions how she is the muffin. I didn't realise at the time but before dropping out of school Shelly was in the same year as Laura and the others and Shelly went out with Bobby before he got together with Laura. You probably already know the actor who played the Little Man From Another Place (The Arm) can speak backwards so taught the cast to do so, and then Lynch edited then revered the recoding. So thats how they sound so weird along with the backward steps. Sorry if you know of any of this already!

When the Twin Peaks pilot was filmed, they were asked to film an ending for European audiences so that it could function as a movie if the show didn’t get picked up. Parts of the pilot even made it into the show like when Bob is saying “Catch you in my death bag.” Depending on the box set you get, you may have access to it. It’s not hard to find. Could be a good fit for the channel, just for fun.

2025-08-09 23:43:10 +0000 UTCSometimes with Twin Peaks, you fel like you almost understand things, but it's just beyond your grasp.. I feel like this is deliberate from Lynch. It's like mystery has intrinsic value for him, and is not just something to be solved.
