The thing is, what happened to Donald when he kissed his wife is exactly what would have happened to him had he stayed to protect his wife from her poor choices at the cottage. She was immune but he wasn't. It's difficult to leave family behind but if the battle's lost it's either stay and die or run and have a chance to survive

The moral conflicts are interesting as is the new arc with the virus carrier. Rose Byrne automatically makes anything better. Robert Carlyle is also fantastic in 1999's Ravenous (first DVD I ever bought).
