2025-01-23 14:02:26 +0000 UTCI have this theory that the Thing wasn't the pilot of the space ship that crashed, but rather that it caused the ship to crash when it was "consuming" the pilot. To me, it makes no sense that a life form that's only purpose seems to be to replicate any and all life forms it comes in contact with would be building ships to travel the universe. lol Maybe it was an alien bio weapon.๐ค

A couple of fun facts; 1. There's a deleted scene (I've never actually seen it, just a couple of screenshots on the internet) but after they return from the Norwegian camp MacReady is seen inflating something while watching the tapes. The big reveal is that it's a blow up sex doll.๐ 2. Kurt Russell hated the hat. First day in wardrobe he told them there's no way he's wearing it. But he ended up embracing it because he said Macready is a drunk who doesn't give a shit so he probably would wear it. Ps. There is a 2011? Thing prequel that covers the events at the Norwegian camp. Obviously not as good.
