Editing Example

Here is one of the shots I took yesterday of Steph. The first one is the unedited JPG file (smaller file) the second shot is a rendered JPG from the RAW (CR3) file which is much larger of a file and allows for more information to be edited. When I say edited I usually refer to exposure controls, white balance, and color adjustments and sometimes cropping as well. More advanced editing techniques I use for clients, is skin smoothing using seperation frequency, or now just AI, retouching, sky replace, back ground replace, compositing, text and graphics overlay and more.

As you can see here, the only changes I made was in the colors, giving it more of a mood. You may even prefer the unedited version, this was just more so an example of what I mean when I say editing a photo. For Steph I really try to not retouch either unless her skin is bad on a particular shoot. She usually has really smooth clear skin. When I started taking photos of Steph, I told myself to try and leave her as natural as possible for our own archives sake.
