Well if people didn’t know Payton bad guy before they definitely know now after this. When Danny reunites with Kaz and Alex see Kaz giving Danny boy a long lecture how it’s a bad idea in facing a reaper alone especially with emotional state and history with the kid. Danny heart is in the right place but it’s not safe for him unless the kid is tied up in a way that he can’t hurt anyone and just listen.
