2025-09-20 02:43:48 +0000 UTCHayato is the "weird kid". That's undeniably. Yet, he's just a kid. He's clearly depressed from the start. Probably genetically and more importantly because of how intelligent he is. "Am i a kid from loving parents after all?" He says when he sees his parents on the bedroom. He was intelligent enough to know from the start that his parents didn't love each other. His parent never cared that much and his mother is also very.. not a mother at heart. I feel. I would never "defend" that he wasn't a weird kid and that spying on your family by isn't messed up. But again, he's a child. A very intelligent child with a dysfunctional family and in my eyes, clinically depressed.

2025-09-18 23:24:35 +0000 UTCI believe as a smart and nosy kid, he wanted to monitor and understand his parents even if he couldn't fix them. Like really, he doesn't need cameras. He's an archetypical fav of Araki-san which is, kid who is prodigy and pays real, full attention to his surroundings to learn in an almost superhuman way, "reading people" so to speak rather than having real outside experience and naivety. Like what he said sounds bad when you say it out of context but what else does he say after that, literally in subtitles, "Am I the child of a loving couple?" sounding pretty sure of the contrary. So yeah Hayato was as much to blames as maybe .1% compared to the parents who raised him, and splitting the other two (mostly shinobu though honest, like wth is wrong with her sometimes.)

2025-09-18 20:23:27 +0000 UTCOne thing to remember about Hayato, is he might have started with maybe a normal wonder or obsession with new tech (surveillance cameras), but quickly saw a pretty much loveless marriage unfold before his eyes. If you remember two things about the Kosaku parents: 1. The wife started her part as a passive aggressive, mean spirited, unfulfilled housewife. 2. The husband was on his way to Salon Cinderalla or inside it going through Aya's procedure when Kira came in handless and 150% full psycho mode. So sad. because it means this, "bore" was actually trying to be a better husband and i.e. better father. Because Hayato even with Jojo IQ is still a kid. And he really saw it all, which is why he immediately noticed when Kira was doing weird things in the house even before he spied on him.
