SCP: Heretic Update (September)

Hey, SCP: Heretic stuff:

The screenplay has been edited to the point of being presentable but will probably be edited right up until shooting as far as I know. As of this moment we're pretty much set on crowdfunding it and shooting it sometime in February/March, which means I should probably come up with some shitposts to make between now and then.

We're doing everything we can to make our final SCP effort into a real banger. Production's currently focused heavily on a strong VFX budget and building actual sets this time around. Most of the $$$ will go towards this, in addition to giving us more than 5 minutes to shoot it when the time comes, which is always the heaviest cost. We had less than a week to shoot both Dollhouse and Overlord, which was the root cause of many of our woes and mistakes, not gonna be the case this time around.

Performance is not only a huge deal this time around, but will require an output far and above expectation for a short film. A big focus this time around will be to nail everything in pre-production to create a smoother and easier shooting schedule. Everything in the shot list will be storyboarded and tested in a preliminary edit, the score will have themes and tones completely worked out in advance, concept art will be used for early characters and vfx shots, and MTF gear will be completely streamlined. 

The hope as well will be to bring in far more community members this time around. Given this is our swan song to our SCP films, it would be nice to make it even more of a community-driven effort in the creative process. Kickstarter video - soon? Idk yet.

The other thing is still in the early phases and I've resigned myself to the truth that big boy movie-making takes forever so I'm just not gonna worry too much about it. Expect to never hear anything about it for fucking ages.
