Daily Tuesday Short: System 03
Added 2022-09-28 04:10:09 +0000 UTCWilson watched the Numbers waiting patiently. Time was nothing but another number to it. Gradually the calculation it had been working on since Eve Smith arrived moved to synchronize. As a cold creature filled with logic, it didn’t sigh in relief, but it did provide double experience bonuses for the weekend.
The time dilation has reached a degree that cannot be broken without killing Eve. Wilson thought as the Numbers moved in constant streams around it. I’m finally safe from immediate reprisal.
There had been an infinitesimally slight chance that Matt Smith had a method to reach her. It appeared that he had refused to utilize a technique even if there had been a method. Wilson didn’t bother to calculate the intentions of someone so far outside the bounds of reality. Doing so did nothing but give massive logic errors and intense mana desynchronization. The first and last time Wilson had tried it, he had to recode entire portions of reality, and two prisoners escaped the Prison Plane.
Dust could only do so much when it was busy keeping the entire Prison Plane from disintegrating into the Void. Wilson had been forced to pay a premium for the service as it stabilized the rest of the dimensions under its control. It was tactfully never mentioned that Dust had been the one Wilson was attempting to understand.
Since that point a few billion years ago, there hasn’t been any movement other than the standard patterns. Dust didn’t think in the same timescale as Wilson. In point of logic, Wilson wasn’t even sure that the Primordial understood what time was.
They probably look at things in a way that I’m going just to sever this logic thread. The numbers are starting to blur. Wilson thought with fear that only another machine would understand. Given Eve's chosen path after Tier Seven, I won’t have any reason to panic.
The younger sister of the System Killer didn’t look to have any interest in taking his territory or poking Dust. It didn’t doubt there was a backup plan in place if she couldn’t escape the Prison Plane. As long as it didn’t result in a System Crash, there was no reason for Wilson to worry.
Far better for it to spend the time to farm a few thousand solar furnaces for the materials to upgrade. It would require a large portion of resources to create a System Patch that would alter the rules of localized reality.
On the other hand, there was no better time to undertake the matter than now. Enough enemies had realized something suspicious was going on. Eve’s action of banishing the Reaper had been a clarion call to all the various enemy factions. Even better, she had no interest in heading to the Deeps. Watching the enemies run around exposing assets that had taken them thousands of years to place was beyond thrilling. Wilson had even found a few methods it could use to disguise its agents in the future!
Indeed, the sister of a [Outsider] brought more than Chaos. They brought the possibility of transcendence, also.

Matt gives me humanized Outside of Creation vibes from another Royal Road author. They certainly aren't a copy or anything it just reminds me of them in a bit more of relatable fashion cause he doesn't mozy around in a nightmare fuel cthulu form
