Yes same setting. The song of the hydra was my first attempt at building the setting and im slowly building it ever since. I do want to remake that Β΄Goblin exterminationΒ΄ short comic now that i actually have lore for the goblins, but i dont know when i will have the chance for it. It is on the pile of things to do tho XD

Is this the same setting as the song of the hydra? Have you considered making a comic issue about goblins? I know, you already have so much stuff on your hand and this was already quite enough content, but if you ever feel like adding another thing to the pile, that would be neat.

Fantastic; absolute cinema. Peak erotic body horror and exquisitely grotesque erotic story-telling. Loved how the Queens were essentially reduced into highly valued but otherwise worthless breeding slabs. The way you render the characters' facial and bodily expression of brain-dead pleasure is (as always) *chef's kiss*. I was fully immersed and found myself wishing to experience being a part of the wild goblin brotherhood (which by the way, totally respect the choice for neutral moral orientation; nice and refreshing subversion of the usual maliciousness). One of my favourite projects of yours so far. Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much mah man, glad you like it!
As for the empire being able to grow their own, thats a great question! (it never crossed my mind at all, but it makes perfect sense XD). Thinking about it quickly, they've probably already tried and had some results, but the quality left something to be desired. Something this valuable only thrives in places with specific conditions. So while they may have even managed to create successful recreations, the demand is much greater.
The empire isn't very worried. The number of people victimized by goblin nests isn't small, but it's hardly a problem for the empire. Nests tend to appear only in places far from large cities, so the population of those areas suffers, but the people who have the power to mobilize purges have no interest in doing so. A goblin nest purge operation can last from a week to more than a month.
A single S-class adventurer could probably face a medium or large nest alone, killing hundreds of goblins without much difficulty. However, the problem is a bit more complex than that. Eventually, that person would tire long before the volume of goblins ended. Furthermore, if a truly powerful person arrived in goblin territory, the goblins probably wouldn't even take the fight. They would hide for days or even weeks, until the danger passed. They would only attack if they became truly desperate, or if their queens were in danger.
So when a purge is happening, it's not a simple battle. First, there's the slow process of finding the nest, having to survive days of constant ambushes and traps. After finding the nest, they need to destroy that ancient tree, which involves considerable bureaucracy. Furthermore, they need to reduce the number of goblins. If they simply burned the ancient tree with the queens inside, the goblins would disperse, and there would be a risk of other nests forming. So the purge troop needs to fight their way into the nest until they reach the queens, and use them as hostages to lure the goblins, who can't contain themselves and need to protect them; their bodies demand it, since they are their greatest assets.
Then the troop spends days inside the tree, funneling the goblins using different tactics, until all (or almost all) are eliminated. Finally, more queens are discarded, and the tree is destroyed.

Thank you very much! I was cooking a little illustration about ranger and monk (and rogue and druid) training together. Something more comedy focus, nothing nsfw. Dont know when i will finish it tho, cuz its something i was doing on the side, but i think you would like it!

And so it finally ends. It's been great from start to finish. Diving into the lore and ecology of the goblins has been such an interesting read. Splendid work bro π
I do have a few questions though. Is the empire unable to grow their own medicinal flowers? Or are the flowers simply sensitive to the climate and can only grow in forests?
Is the empire unconcerned about the rapid population growth of the Goblins? Wouldn't a frequent amount of purges be necessary to curb the overpopulation of their species?
