TSOTH - Pages 27-30

Almost at the end! Next update will be the final one! And after that i will do a little cover illustration for it.

Also I got some announcements and stuff that I want to talk about for a bit regarding this project and future ones. No need to pay attention to that if you are here just for the art, its just some tecnical behind the scenes stuff that will not affect in any negative way in the comic production. And also thanks for the support!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You guys are probably already tired of me repeating this, but like I said I plan on this dark fantasy comics thingy to be a long term project with multiple storys, not just the false hydra one, and so far the world that those storys were talking place were just a "dnd inspired world", and nothing more. Places, characters, designs, everything was feeling a bit too generic for me, and I started to think that it was becoming a waste of opportunity to not try to write a bit of lore to the world, and try to bring a little more substance to things. And Im bringing this up now cuz I finally started to write actual lore for the characters and places that they will visit.

I don't plan on sharing much of the raw lore behind everything, cuz at the end of the day people are here mostly cuz of the porn side of stuff and I'm aware of that. However, hopefully this will slowly improve the overall quality of the storys, both in a aesthetic and storytelling way. One of my big goals with those hentai storys is to be able to also developt skills that i can use to make non hentai storys later in life, so this feels like a necessary thing to do. And the first step is to give actual NAMES FOR THE CHARACTERS AND PLACES. And every now and then, this lore will flow into more notable aspects for the reader.

Also, I do have the desire to hopefully incorporate things of my own culture on this too. I'm from Brazil and honestly we got some pretty decent stuff here to adapt to a magical dark fantasy world. We got rich culture, crime, tasty foods, hunger, cool fashion, corrupt government, beautiful nature, political assassinations, cute and scarya animals, violence everywhere. Its like, perfect!

The current approach that I'm using is that Im writing a "serious" dark fantasy world, and not a "hentai dark fantasy world". The hentai part will come from specific hooks in the overall story. Its still pretty early, but its taking shape.

So yeah, just wanted to talk a little bit about that. Its been very fun, and hopefully the storys will get better! And If you read all of this, thanks for your time! (And sorry for the bad english XD).

Thanks gamer, glad you like it!!!!

Leo Yoyoro

Sorry for being late to the party gamer, this was GRUESOME, absolutely AMAZING! keep up the amazing work!!

Dylan Low

That's so cool to hear, I look forward to seeing your next update. Honestly being able to see any behind-the-scenes/in progress ideas would still make for some amazing content :D And that's pretty much all the questions that have been gnawing at me for a while now. Thank you so very much for accommodating me with your time, I truly appreciate it. Also it may be a little early but, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Thanks for making the month a little bit scarier with the Hydra 🥳

Max

Hmmm for some reason I doubt that people on Patreon read these conversations in the comments. Maybe some do, but they must be few. But I understand what you mean. Also yeah i plan on posting the old version of the story right after the last pages. I could post it now, but some of the concepts used in that one would be spoilers for this ending, so i prefer to wait a bit more before posting it, but you will be able to see it very soon. (also thank you very much for the suggestion cuz tbh i had forgotten that i could post these! XD).

Leo Yoyoro

Thanks a bunch, I sincerely appreciate it. But I'm also just a little concerned that in the event some new members read through some of my old posts and get spoiled, I'd feel pretty crummy about it :0 Oh yeah those classical theatre masks, I can definitely see the resemblance. I look forward to trying to deduce what the 3rd Hydra is of reference to. And damn, that's a pretty wicked concept for the Cleric Hydra. Even if the idea isn't used, that is quite a cool picture to think about. But until part 2 comes, I'll just be keeping this on the quieter side :D Ooooooh, speaking of unused ideas. After TSOTH part 1 is done, would there be any chance we could somehow view the scrapped versions/scripts/sketches/rewrites of TSOTH? The ones that never made it to the final release? Because if I recall, you did say that you already rewrote the ending about 3 times quite a while ago, I can only imagine how much has changed since then. But if it's too big an ask, then please ignore my request. I'm just really interested in seeing how something goes from the development stage and eventually progresses into the final product. Just knowing how this story could've played out in a multitude of ways would be really sick.

Max

Nah man don't worry, you can ask about whatever you want, i dont mind. It's just that in some cases i dont want to ruin the surprise, but its not like Im upset that you are asking about that stuff. Much on the contrary tbh, I feel very honored that people are taking such interest in my storys. As for what each head represents, i didn't go into much detail about that tbh. For the grinning and crying head, my initial inspiration came from theater masks (google theater masks and see the images), but there's not much more to it than that at the moment. Also, big spoiler but I'll tell you because I don't know if it will become a reality in the future or not. If I do a part 2, the Hydra would have a new head, and this fourth head would have some features that resemble the cleric. This is an idea that I think would be interesting to develop, like, among the people that the Hydra devours, there would be some with strong enough "personalities and power" that served as catalysts for the birth of a new head. However, I didn't find any space to put this idea in part 1, so who knows one day in the future.

Leo Yoyoro

Oh damn, that's a pretty cool concept. I never thought each head would have its own actions correspond to its motivations. Now it kinda makes sense as to why the Hydra was playing around with them at the beginning. Rather than try to eat them outright. So is the crying Hydra representative of the sadness of its past victims? Got it. Apologies for unintentionally asking questions that would spoil the overall future plot 😓

Max

oh yeah the hydra is smart. The grinning head is the main responsible to mess with them just for fun. Each of them acts independently, but they all share the same mind and senses. Its like different parts of the same personality. Think of like how Disney's inside-out represents the different emotions of the same person, but in this case the emotions are an amalgamation of bad parts of the souls of the people that it previously consumed, and they can get out of the body and kill more people. As for the library idea, maybe in the future, but that will take a while. I dont have not near enough stuff for that yet. Cant respond about the marks on clerics arm right now... Its gonna be important in the next few pages!

Leo Yoyoro

I see, I look forward to hearing their names and about the city once they are done. But with all this new information, I do hope we will have a centralized library where we can look up all of this knowledge someday in the future. Yeah, each Hydra usually varies, depending on the individual games and settings. I guess that's what's so great about having a homebrew monster, it's very flexible. But your Hydra clearly has some form of intellect right? Seeing as how it was smart enough to disarm and abscond with the girl's equipment. So does each head have the ability to act independently? Or are they all part of a central hivemind? Also on page 30, mage still has the markings on her arm. Do the markings indicate her run-ins with the Hydra, or is she just marking down strange incidents in town and her subsequent sense of Deja Vu?

Max

No the cast of TSOTH dont have names YET. I will work more on them pretty soon tho. Same thing with the other locations that you have mentioned. Atm Im writing some stuff on the "main city" first, which is not the city where TSOTH is taking place. As for the question about the mature hydra, tbh i'm not very familiar with the mature version. The big gigantic monster with AOE mind control is cool, but i think that the stealth young version is a lot more interesting and creepy. But yeah i would say it can indeed tower over most towns.

Leo Yoyoro

Well for someone who's pretty new to worldbuilding, I'd say you're doing pretty good. When I first saw the map Goblin Warrior was holding in the Mage's Journal, the world actually started to feel lived-in. It may have simply been a small section of the region, but seeing The City, The Valley Of Silence, and Valedo made it feel like there was a bigger world out there. So I'd say you're off to a great start. Ophilia huh? Pretty name for a pretty lady. And the Guild Master, can't wait to see what they look like. So do the cast of TSOTH have names yet? It would be nice to know Mage, Barbarian, Cleric and Rogue's names. If only to mourn them easier after they die XD Is The City currently where TSOTH is taking place? Or is it somewhere else? Learning about its history and its culture would be a great way to know its inhabitants. Oh so it is semi-mobile, that's pretty neat. And I kinda figured the head would be pretty stretchable, at full maturity it can tower over most towns and cities right?

Max

Can't wait to see it.

Fran Franken

I had already noticed that if I ever want to make more characters of the same class, not giving names would probably make stuff very confusing later. But i was kinda of pushing the problem for the future. But what really made me want to name not just the characters, but everything including the City, empire, guild, etc, was another reason. So, im still very new to this whole comic making thing, and specially when it comes to the writing and woldbuind part which i've basically zero pratical experience, even though I am a big enthusiast on the subject. So I was having a lot of trouble on getting the ball rolling. But then after watching a few more vídeos about the subject, in one of them the guy said that a important step is to name EVERYTHING, and long story short, that worked for me. The recepcionist is the character that I have most stuff written about atm (her name is Ophilia btw) . And after that I got some stuff on the guild Master. I still want to write a bit more stuff about the City, then I will expand on some other individual adventurers like the druid, rogue, barbarian, etc. Honestly its been pretty fun. And as for the hydra body, it moves veeeery slowly, like dragging itself in a sloppy way. But the heads are able to strech a lot. And I mean like A LOT.

Leo Yoyoro

HAHAHA XD Tiefling anatomy amirite? Yeah, kinda what I expected their individual ranks to be. And that's pretty cool, we're gonna get to see the different subclasses. So is this where you started considering giving names to the characters as the roster expanded? He does seem to enjoy his quiet walks in solitude, figures he'd be the kinda dude to keep it lowkey. Especially if the black ops equivalent for the guild are trying to track him. Gotcha, I'll wait and see how the Hydra affects the surrounding populace over time. So on Page 29, when the Hydra is trying to chase Rogue down, is your version of the Hydra capable of moving its body on its own? Or is it like most other versions where its main body is just a heavy lump of flesh that requires mind-controlled puppets to help move it?

Max

Glad you liked it! Also I'm happy to hear that it feels like a horror hentai story! Gonna grind to deliver some more cool stuff!

Leo Yoyoro

Yes you will see it in the next uptade. And as for cleric lactating... honestly it was just a hentai thing XD, BUT YEAH WE COULD TOTALLY SAY ITS A TIEFLING THING NOW XD. I totally had that planned out XD. Archer is B rank, Bloodhunter is A rank, and Goblin warrior is C rank. However, as i said before i still writing stuff about this rank system, it will probably change later. I plan on having the bard and paladin as C and A rank respectively. However, they haven't been developed much yet so this isn't certain yet. Also even though there's only "one adventurer of each class" so far, later there will be more variations of the same class. For example the rogue we have now is a thief, so in the future we might have an assassin for instance. As for the Male Mage, when I used the term "local cerebrity" i meant in the sense that they are well known around that region, not that they are necesseraly popular with the citizens. Bro got a lab in town and thats all people know about him, and he prefer it that way. The Sentinels are not bad guys, so it really will depend on the scenario in question. Male Mage and the Recepcionist are especially bothered by them. As for your last question about the hydra...Lets say that i can respond that one right now...

Leo Yoyoro

Oooooh, I'm excited to see what the third head can do. Will it finally make its appearance in the final update? Also with regards to the crying head, I have noticed something about Cleric after she got hit with the silent scream. She appears to have started lactating. I'm curious to know if that's an effect of her getting hit by the scream, or is it a Tiefling thing? That's pretty interesting, so where does Archer, Bloodhunter and Warrior fall in that ranking system? Male Mage? Mr Lobotomy is a known local celebrity? Must be real good with the kids or something XD Druid sounds like such a cool mom, I look forward to her first appearance. Will the Sentinels be playing an antagonistic role in the story? Or is it dependent on the scenarios you write? Another question I would like to ask, will the characters forget their allies or the people they met once they've been consumed by the Hydra? Or will you be writing things a little differently?

Max

Thank you! And yeah those are all the same head. The Grinning head is the one who is messing with them since the beginning and its the one who consumed cleric. It had the most participation in the comic so far. The crying head its not so active, it just wants to stun with the silent scream, and eat. The third head has another function. As for the ranking system. Up until now I've been using the generic D to A to S rank system, with D-C being newbies and weak adventurers, B-A being skilled adventurers, and S being the elite, practically local celebrities. But that's one of the things I've started writing more about, so it should change soon. A few interesting comments to make are that: It's rare for a city to have more than one S-Rank. S-Ranks earn good money, and many have places of interest dedicated to them in their respective cities. In the guild that these adventures I've been writing are part of, there are currently 3 S-Ranks. Barbarian, Druid, and the male Mage (from the goblin comic). Druid has a huge treehouse that serves as a facility and home for many of the adventurers in that city. (I want to make concepts of that later.) S-Rank adventurers are often the favorites to become guild leaders when a new branch of the guild opens. There is another Ranking that is slightly higher than S-class adventurers, which are the Sentinels, elite soldiers who serve the guild's original headquarters in the grand capital of the empire. They have no fixed residence and travel around the empire to take care of more formal guild matters. They are sort of the guild's black ops.

Leo Yoyoro

It's truly been my pleasure to see you progress and grow in this field. Can't wait to see where you go from here 😁 That's the same Hydra from Page 9? Dude has a knack for really stretching its mouth :0 So was the Hydra that consumed Cleric at the end the same one or a different head? I searched for the Pelican Eel, and you weren't kidding. That thing's a swimming Venus Flytrap. Also I noticed that all the adventurers have now been given ranked classes. With Mage, Cleric, and Rogue being rated B. And Barbarian being the only S class. How does the rating system work?

Max

Noice 👍

Max

The new pages were straight-up horrific; seeing Cleric's body twitch around and reach for its head was nauseating (in a good way), and interposing the body being devoured with Barbarian eating was just beautiful. It definitely feels like a horror hentai story than just guro. You definitely could go "legit" with the skills you have right now, although I would sorely miss the quality porn. I'm excited to see what world building you come up with, I love when hentai settings have a world, characters and backgrounds that feel "real" and not just an excuse to have hentai stuff happening.

Fran Franken

It did fix itself, I was able to download it through files and get into the gallery.

Archangel Alucard

Nice one dude, what was your solution?

Max

I got it to work now!

Archangel Alucard

Sorry to hear that man, I don't know why this keep happening. Gonna try to uptade that folder and send you the link like last time as soon as I get home. Sorry for the inconvenience again!

Leo Yoyoro

Ayo thank you for the awesome comment! Reading this really makes me super inspired to continue, so thank you very much Max! And as for your question about the third hydra head, no, the third hydra head did not appear yet. That head with the triangular shaped mouth is that first grinning head that first appeared in page 9 when cleric is upside down. I posted a concept for it a few months ago where it shows how its face deforms when it opens its mouth to attack. Its the same head that attacks cleric in the page where she uses shield of faith. Looking back now, I probably should have done a scene in the actual comic where it actually shows the transformation of the head opening its mouth, it would make it easier to undestand that it was the same head. As for the inspiration for the design, search "pelican eel". Nightmare fuel.

Leo Yoyoro

But in the event that still doesn't work here's my Google Drive link for the images. I'll probably delete it in a day or two once Yoyoro comes up with a solution.

Max

Damn again? Maybe you could try this RAR app from the playstore. It definitely works for me. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar

Max

I think this is broken on mobile viewing. I'm having trouble viewing the file again

Archangel Alucard

Pretty encouraging to hear that tbh, thank you!

Leo Yoyoro

Dear lord, was there a lot to unpack from this post. I have so many questions I'd love to ask, but first I'd like to thank you for another great addition to this story, I can't wait to see its thrilling conclusion. In regards to you adding more to the world building, I'm certain that quite a few members, myself included, will be so happy to hear that. I can't wait to learn all there is to this world and its characters. But I do hope you'll still post the raw lore regarding this world somewhere for those who are interested. It'll be a truly interesting experience to see the parallels between this dark fantasy setting and our reality. I think a "serious" dark fantasy world would really help set the scenes better as compared to a "hentai" one. As the realistic struggles that the characters face will be more believable, thereby allowing the reader to feel more for the story. I would now like to gush about the art. HOLY SHIT!!! This might just be one of your most visceral works yet. I honestly thought seeing Cleric headless was pretty gnarly, but I got literal chills when I saw the Hydra dragging her body off into the darkness. A feeling of pure dread just washed over me. Would love to experience that again 10/10 XD So for my first question I'd like to ask, is that the 3rd Hydra head? Because it is scary as all hell, something about having a triangular shaped mouth just makes it so freaky. I would love to know what was your inspiration for it.

Max

You have an excellent imagination and I for one would love to read any lore to decide to post
