On one hand, you can manipulate people very well now. on the other hand, how could you possibly have a genuine relationship again?

Maybe this is my problem for needing shit to be high concept to get off but i don't think it is!! Problematize it a bit. Or do the opposite and make it funny and maybe a bit pathetic. Make the person doing it feel bad and then slide down worse. Make working around the limitations produce interesting kink situations you might not have thought of. Make people react differently to being brainwashed than you'd think! explore the actions of the victims. explore the actions of the domme! Do a fuckin, ridiculous farce, even!

A lot of the stories I've seen about getting a magic device that changes reality would be really cool if the device had some limitation or requirement, because as you say, then there are stakes. But almost all of them are like "here is HorribleManJones, your protagonist. He will now be hurting women he finds on the street, and then making them bimbos. The next thirty pages will be the same thing, with the only variety being the hair color of the women. Enjoy." It's very boring.

2024-08-30 02:54:20 +0000 UTCIt's like how I love mind control stories but hate about 60% of them because they're not really interested in exploring mind control as a concept or the dynamics of it and instead are just shortcutting to it being an excuse for fun sex. The juice for me is the dynamics and the exploration of thr concepts!

To me like, part of what makes sexy stuff sexy is like... the sense of stakes and the kinds of scenarios i can imagine around it and the stakes they would have. I feel like a lot of super powered cyoa lean too hard into the power fantasy and end up with no possible stakes. Whereas this hits a nice balance of fantasy but like... you can imagine the ways this would not solve all your problems and it'd probably make more. Plus it gives you more room to engage with one kinky idea.

Which often makes them come out really well. As for the date, that was literally just random. This one's only been cooking for two months, so barely that long XD.

I like a theme more than a power fantasy, and a power's more fun if it's smaller and limited. is the joke about it happening in october 2023 that you wrote this then and forgot to post it?
