Tier and Release Schedule Updates
Added 2023-08-01 18:18:01 +0000 UTCHello all, it's been a while. As some of you may or may not know, I have recently gotten a job. As you can guess, this has eaten into my creation time significantly. So much so, that I haven't been able to release anything for the last few months. However, I hope for that to come to an end soon.
I'm in the process of wrapping up a long commission. And by "in the process" I mean it could still be a couple months away. The point is that I've decided to stop taking commissions on after this project. With commissions I feel a little too constrained in my artistic freedom to be able to do what I want how I want it, and I also feel a pressure to complete them in a timely manor which has become difficult. Thus, I'll only be working on my own projects that I have passion for, instead of projects that I do for the money. This will also hopefully increase releases because I actively want to be working on them instead of feeling obliged to.
That brings me to my release schedule. Previously I was trying to release something at least once a month. Now with my job and other life stuff, I won't be able to make any commitments on how often I will be releasing content. And as such, I didn't feel comfortable with the current patreon tiers promising perks without them being able to be reliably delivered upon. So I've made the decision to reduce my tiers down to a single all encompassing tier that gives all the rewards I can. Basically the tier is now a tip jar like option where you won't be getting anything that requires a timeline or schedule (such as early access, polls, etc). Instead, it will be exclusives in the form of higher resolutions and alternatives (such as extended editions and sometimes extra clothing and angles).
I hope this new system is to everyone's liking. I think it's a better, more fair, option that doesn't add additional stress to me, and is more reasonable in it's rewards.
TL;DR My time has been focused on my new job and I haven't been able to make as much stuff as I previous did. I want to continue making stuff but I can't commit to doing it at a consistent schedule. I've changed the tiers to hopefully be more fair/transparent in what you get.
