"SON OF A BITCH!" Kitty shrieked, flailing wildly as Tiger scrambled away, leaving a constellation of tiny claw marks in his wake.
Derek all but doubled over, his laughter booming across the room. "Holy shit, Kate! This is fucken gold!!! First place in any Youtube chart."
Kitty turned to him with a glare so scorching it could’ve melted glaciers. "Go choke on your beer," she snapped, ripping the yoga mat off the floor and storming to her room.
Once inside, she slammed the door behind her, the sound reverberating like a punctuation mark on her misery. The mat hit the floor with a thud, followed shortly by her laptop, tossed onto the bed with all the care of a grenade.
She stood there for a moment, her hands clenched into fists, breathing hard as if she’d just run a marathon. "Why do I even try?" she muttered, glaring at the offending mat as though it had personally wronged her.
