Unlike before where there's just one art that has all the stages, I thought this way might be better. If you prefer the previous way where everything is in one picture, let me know! ^^
1. Lineart - I didn't save any sketch layer because I rushed this artwork and had the habit of deleting sketch layers. I got better but it's a bummer I don't have the sketch to show you.
2. Basecolor - I tried adding texture to the basecolors because I saw an artist who does it often. It was a nice touch...I think!
3-4. Shadows and Light - I painted the shadows first because I wasn't sure where I want the main light source to come from. I decided on a harsh light coming from a window that's not seen in this artwork. I didn't shade her left hand properly since I know it'll be covered.
5. Fullbody Lineart and Basecolor - I went ahead and shaded the eyes for both in this step
6. Coloring - I shaded the hair and skin (my favorites to shade) and slowly starting on the clothes. There is no harsh lighting for the fullbody so the light source is a gentle light from above and slightly in front of the character.
7. Coloring Continuation - I colored the rest of the clothes and I added hightlights + details
8. Details - It felt like the lighting on the fullbody is a little flat so I brushed on brighter highlights. At this step I also drew the other Hayasaka-s in the background but they remain in basecoloring stage so it doesn't take away from the main illustrations.
9. 2022 Update - The changes are subtle since it's a more recent fanart. I changed the eye style, changed the length of her thighs and legs, changed some shading on the arms and clothing.
