Yes, yes! Lynn has been swayed! I can see why Lynn fell in love with her brother in the first place – his loving, caring, nurturing attitude; his optimism; his willingness to put others before himself; his ability to see the positives in a sea of negatives. I mean, what is not to love about him? And I can appreciate Lincoln admitting that he is just as scared as Lynn in wanting to pursue this type of relationship with her. But once again, he is showing a willingness to adapt and adjust since he and Lynn have every odd stacked against them. He’s making Lynn fall in love with him all over again! Now it’s time for Lynn to replace her finger with her lips and seal the deal! I feel like everything is once more coming full circle. I was re-reading the “Inseparable” volume last night and I remember a lot of key discussion points during Lincoln and Lynn’s heart-to-heart after their game of tag ended badly: — Lynn: “I’m the big sister. I’m supposed to keep you safe and be a role model. Big sisters aren’t supposed to hurt their little brothers. I don’t want to hurt you.” Lincoln: “I don’t care if sometimes I mess up and get hurt. Being with you is worth the risk!” Lynn: “Maybe for you. But I don’t want to risk hurting you. What if something bad happens? . . . What if I hurt you so much you end up hating me? I don’t want to risk that.” Lincoln: “I could never hate you.” Lynn: “You don’t know that.” Lincoln: “I do . . . There’s no way I’d ever hate you . . . I know what I want and I can take care of myself. I love being with you and I don’t care what other people say. Even if they’re our sisters.” — And re-reading those quotes made me feel like their discussion then was a prelude to what is happening between them right now. It’s now just on a higher scale, far more important than a game of tag. Now we’re talking about love that transcends sibling affection. After all, a lot of things they said as kids are being repeated in a different manner as teenagers. Also, if Lincoln and Lynn finally end up kissing, please don’t obscure their lip-lock, Hero. I didn’t realize how much I needed that show of affection in my life ever since I saw your picture of Lincoln and Lynn making out in Lynn’s bed. I think it was “Day 12 of 30”, if my recollection and math are correct. There’s only so much fan fiction can get across and sometimes, it’s not enough. I’m holding my breath, Hero! You really know how to build up suspense and anticipation!
