Don't worry, most people hate Jenny. She was sexually assaulted by her father so she was a broken person. She loved Forest as much as she could love anyone. A buddy of mine really hated Jenny. She didn't marry Forest to make him happy. It was just typical selfish jenny. She wanted to make sure little Forest was taken care of but at least in that instance, with little Forest, maybe she finally learned to really love someone.

2026-01-17 13:10:10 +0000 UTCI’m probably going to catch hell for this and I realize this is unpopular opinion, but I’ve never thought “Forrest Gump” should have won Best Picture. “Pulp Fiction” and “Shawshank Redemption” are far superior films IMHO. I love the soundtrack. I love the relationship between Forrest and Lieutenant Dan which to me is the real romance or bromance of the movie. Never read the book, but definitely need to check it out and its sequel.
