Do ya'll know what I literally found out yesterday? Trump's (NOT a fan!) Chief of Staff..... her name escapes me at the moment, is Pat Summerall's, the thinner of the two announcers, daughter. Apparently, as one might imagine with a job like that, a bit of an absentee father.

2025-12-17 14:37:27 +0000 UTCSo, the two guys up in the booth for all of their games were the premiere broadcast duo for the NFL for decades. The heavier set guy was John Madden. He passed a few years ago but won one or two Super Bowls coaching the Oakland Raiders. He transitioned to broadcasting and was quite successful. He had a rather famous fear of flying and, even as a Coach, would be driven in a very fancy RV the size of a bus. When he passed his estate was worth billions upon billions of dollars because he had lent his name and voice to the most successful video game franchise in History. Every year ‘Madden Football’ comes out with a new version and his estate could, most likely, purchase a small country.

He will say things that maybe that person will not want to hear however he sees them for who they are meant to be. By the way, Gene Hackman is great in another sports movie as a coach in the movie "Hoosiers", a basketball movie, that is on your recommended list. Brian came back to the Sentinel side of the ball where Martel began berating him, telling him “Right! Not left!” Then Martel grabbed Brian by the facemask, the grid in front of his helmet. You said “Disrespectful!” and you were 100% right. Brian went after him and had to be restrained by his teammates. For a player to grab another’s facemask is just about the most disrespectful thing you can do. You should expect retaliation if you do something that public and disrespectful.

In this context, the league has hired these "replacement" players to preserve the season during the strike and protect the business.

2025-11-16 17:52:25 +0000 UTCOh and do remember, it’s NOT exact, but, for all intents and purposes, 1 yard = 3 feet = 1 meter for your understanding. To be precise 1 yard = 0.914 meters but, for you, just think yard = meter. There was, I believe a space mission to put some kind of probe sent into orbit around Mars that, basically, failed because the scientists failed to make the proper conversion. So, as far as football/soccer goes, it’s 1:1 for missions to Mars, not so much.
