Name one and they started or played the 'Whiskey.' What CBGBs was in New York, the Whiskey was and still is in LA. The trope that you could very easily put together a solid rock band from the bartenders and barbacks on any given night was and still is completely true. The Capitol Records building, the tall, round white building still exists. It was designed to look like a stack of records found in every old jukebox you've ever seen and absolutely iconic bands and performers that you know and have reviewed were and are managed from its legendary offices.,
