So a couple months late but the first encounter with Godzilla was on an isolated tiny island that basically just the landing strip and small garrison and Godzilla came out of the sea. This was 1944, no advanced detection systems. Hence it appearing out of nowhere. This was a great movie.

2024-08-14 07:41:32 +0000 UTCMost people compare the 15 million "budget for the entire movie" (not just the CGI) Versus 350 million for other "Hollywood" Godzilla movies. It's tougher comparing it to something like The Avengers because it's an entirely different type of story and also The Avengers is very popular and had very good box office returns. Most people complain that "Hollywood" can't even make a good Godzilla movie no matter the budget. Meanwhile one guy out of Japan makes the best Godzilla movie ever... out of 38 Godzilla movies. When you said "Avengers" you probably meant all of the Avengers movies and there are 4 of them. They are one of the most popular series of movies and had the biggest box office returns on the planet. People should stop pretend-hating on the good movies 🙂

2024-06-14 05:55:16 +0000 UTCSo, towards the end of the movie, we noticed that Noriko had a black mark on her neck. It could be a sign of radiation poisoning. Or perhaps, being exposed to godzilla's atomic blast lead to some kind of infection. This may be an explanation of how she was able to heal from her injuries. She might have absorbed some of gozilla's DNA or g cells as they we called in previous movies. And of course. We see godzilla possibly regenerating after apparently dieing from the getting its head blown off. so all this may be setting up for sequel. We shall see.
