Fallout episode 1-2 Full uncut

Comments

Hi Biss, this is my first time watching a show on Patreon and Amazon, or any other stream, picture in picture. It took a while to get the voices to match up (synchronize), but I have the hang of it now, and it really is like watching it with a friend who I can laugh with. Thank you Biss, I’ll keep watching your YouTube reactions, with a like and a comment, but I look forward to watching anything I have access to with you on Patreon.

the ghoul is the cowboy at the beginning

Biss Reactions

I did mention that already - I realized it wasn't a Shepherd when I was watching ep2 and went and looked it up just to be sure.

David Collins

I just checked, she was right about the breed being a Belgian Malinois. They are quite similar to the German shepherd though

I've only seen episode one now, but had a couple things for you, Biss. First, the dog is a German Shepherd - one of the most common breeds here in the US. Second, I think you might have missed a connection - something with regard to The Ghoul's identity. I'm not 100% certain you missed it but I felt like you would have mentioned it if you had caught it. It really surprised me you didn't catch it, if indeed you didn't. I don't think it's a spoiler but I won't spell it out for you because I'm not sure where they're going, and I'm not sure how important it is for you to catch it - there might be more chances and I suspect they will flat out tell us eventually, as he's obviously going to be back. So I'll just leave it at that. EDIT: Back to the dog, it was scripted as a German Shepherd but you are correct - it was cast and is played by a Belgian Malinois. Never really thought animals were "cast" so to speak, but here we are. Throughout the game series, however, "Dogmeat" - the canine companion - is a German Shepherd. On to episode 2 for me. Ok e2 down - that was fun. When you say "the game" as it relates to Fallout, there are actually like 6 or 7. Not all of them are great entry points, but you don't have to go back to 1. I'm an old fart and played them in release order. I prefer the first two but they are OLD games. Might pose some technical difficulties getting them running on modern machines and old school RPGs do NOT hold your hand at all. The original (1) especially lacks hardly any of today's modern quality of life advances. When I first played it, it was very hard getting off the ground, but eventually became quite fun once I figured things out and got some better gear, Fallout 2 is still difficult but with some QoL improvements was much easier to get off the ground. It's one of my all time favorite games. Actually, before the Dark Souls series, it was my favorite RPG. Personally, I'd recommend people getting into Fallout for the first time today to start with Fallout 3. It sort of bridges the gap between the old classic RPGs and the shooter game it turns into in Fallout 4. If you like 3, Fallout: New Vegas would be a good follow up and easily the best of all of the Bethesda releases - but it's really difficult to get into without covering some of the landscape from the first 3. Fallout 4 is very approachable but a totally different kind of game. I didn't like 4 very much, but it's more of a style thing - I generally don't like shooters near as much as RPGs. Whatever you do, avoid Fallout 76 like the plague. The show does a WONDERFUL job of capturing the ambiance of the Fallout universe, but is set well after all of the games and has it's own unique story line. So to put it simply, this show is 100% Fallout, completely captures the essence, but won't spoil anything in the game, or vice versa. Hope this helps you sort out where to go after the series.

BISS Fallout is a very good game and you should definitely play it

Hello! I think it fits the game well. Maybe we cannot count on the series to be particularly lore friendly, but that doesnt bother me. It looks like the game, has the same music, the same styling. So far has the same factions. There is a lot of attention to detail as far as props and outfits. I like the story so far, and I love your reactions.

Hey Biss! I'll try and address some of the more basic questions you had in the first episode. I'm very careful with spoilers and am only answering questions that I can do without spoiling the story of the show OR any of the games! The little injection thing Lucy uses after getting stabbed is called a Stimpak. In the games, they are your main way to heal normal damage. There is also radiation damage that is healed with other items. The armband is called a Pip-Boy. In the games it acts as your menu and inventory, has a light source, displays the map and compass, tracks your missions and info, detects radiation, shows all your vitals, and lets you listen to radio stations and transmissions. All of the old-timey songs they use for the show are songs you can listen to on various radio stations in the games. Oh, and a "Pinko" is American slang for a communist or a commie sympathizer. To answer your ending question, the story of the show is unique to the show. It doesn't follow any of the games. But the world, the weapons, the factions, the items, the creatures, all of that is very true to the games. It's very fun watching someone who doesn't know the games or world of Fallout at all. I want to see how much of the show is understandable/enjoyable for someone like that, like you! I hope you keep enjoying it!

Now I have to start over :), but seriously looking forward to seeing your reaction to the series!

I thought this series was much better than The Last of Us. To me, The Last of Us was no better than the game, which I'd already played. So it felt like there was no point in watching. Fallout is totally faitful to the game series, but is telling an original story. So it's much more entertaining for me to watch. Hope you love it, Biss.

MonoElm

Looking forward to your reaction as always. Hope you enjoy the franchise. Follow up: The stims, and other similar injectors shown the episodes are used in the game to heal and repair your character. The show is set in the Fallout universe, where the motifs, factions, imagery and even the music borrows heavily from the game world; however, this is a unique story and not a live action version of any of the games.
