What gave him away as an infiltrator was the fact that he didn't write the date in the american way (month/day/year) he did month and day the other way around. Nice reaction as always Biss!!

2024-02-12 10:42:15 +0000 UTCBubba and Tom above are both correct, plus the infiltrator likely knew all the words to Star Spangled Banner, something few native born Americans would know. Most of us mumble through it like the one guy did. It's never been that important to us where as an infiltrator would have memorized it word for word. those resistance fighters prolly met a lot of Americans as well as a lot of Germans. So telling them apart from little details was prolly easy for them. And while we didn't see a lot of the interview, it was likely a lot of little things the infiltrator either didn't know or knew too well. The lighter was likely the last straw that just confirmed it for them.

2024-02-10 23:07:09 +0000 UTCI think the infiltrator gave himself away with the lighter he used to light the cigarette. The most common lighter used by American soldiers was the Zippo and that was definitely not a Zippo.

2024-02-10 21:31:07 +0000 UTCI was unable to tell but have heard it mentioned the inflitrator gave himself away by the way he wrote his date, Europeans write it different than Americans tend to. Low key episode but I liked the themes, rather unexpected to have one where you have to watch them leave and see who comes back, or doesnt. Has to be hard on the ground echelon as well as the aircrews who were off for a given mission. Seeing bucky come to grips with what's happening down below when he drops his bombs was interesting as well.
