Loved the reaction overall, it's always so fun and you two (specifically your Harry Potter reactions) are how I found this channel and are such comfort reactors for me... but your take on the Jacob manipulation, no matter how much I also feel for him throughout the movie and like him as a character, were really disappointing to me, I love you both and I can see the nuance in opinions on most things (and I do see the nuance in loving and feeling for Jacob and the way Taylor Lautner plays him, and him reacting unintentionally) but lack of intention doesn't excuse or change that Jacob 100% sexually assaulted Bella in the first "kiss"(she doesn't reciprocate the kiss) and 100% manipulated Bella later, weaponising her guilt and threatening suicide/self-harm, to convince her to kiss him. His reactivity and degree of emotionality when trying to leave were completely valid, but he delivers the manipulative statement then proceeds to use emotional blackmail and threaten self-harm, he very intentionally, knowing she cares for him, plays on her emotions to make her feel responsible for his emotional well-being, life, and safety. He threatens to intentionally let himself get killed (whether it's in the heat of the moment and whether he would or not is irrelevant) unless she can give him a good enough reason to come back. She begs him to stay, telling him she doesn't want to lose him, expressing how important he is to her, and he literally tells her "that's not good enough" until she asks him to kiss her. And Jacob has a pattern of doing this, caring more about how he feels without regard for what Bella thinks or wants, weaponising his hurt to get her to do what he wants her to. I feel for Jacob, Bella wanting to be close friends with him, despite obviously having some muddy mixed signal feelings and false hope for him, while he can't get over her and has very strong feelings for her is... a lot and is great for the love triangle and I really feel for Jacob. But Bella's agency and her choices throughout the film are clear, and consent is the most important.

Switzerland is the world's longest-standing neutral country dating back hundreds of years. It was one of the few countries that refused to join a side during both WWI and WWII. She's sick of the constant bickering between them and I don't blame her. Edward may be over a century old, but it is confirmed in the books that the vampires remain at the same emotional maturity as when they were turned, so just like Jacob, he definitely has moments where he behaves like an immature teenage boy.

Love you Tara but for a large portion of this reaction i wouldn't be surprised if your word count outpaced the word count for the actual script. Love the channel just tryin to provide a bit of constructive criticism

2026-02-25 23:09:32 +0000 UTCI enjoy this one a lot but in all honesty it always pissed me off that Bryce Dallas Howard replaced Rachelle Lefevre JUST because of a 10 day scheduling conflict on Rachelles end so they didn't want to wait and replaced her as Victoria so as much as I enjoy Bryce as an actress I think Rachelle was a better fit for the role whereas something felt off about Bryces portrayal as Victoria (change in looks aside)... but I can't put my finger on it 🤔
