The Reel Rejects

NEXT FRIDAY How do you both feel that Chris Tucker wasn't in the sequel? Did you enjoy the new layer of depth that Mike Epps brought to Ice Cubes Character in this? Myself, I would of loved to see Chris Tucker's character interact with Mike Epps' character. It would of led to some great back and forth In my opinion. Love y'all and can't wait to watch this and the Friday After Next movie reaction.

Chris Gonzales

Good day John&Greg! Not really a question but discussion points today: These two episodes feel already so much more grown up (although only 6 months have past since we met the gang in S1) and we are diving into more mature subjects that get carried over to S3. We also get to see more of the parents - the good and the bad. We all thought Charlie's mom is strict until we meet Darcy's mom. And on the other hand we have Tao's and Nick's very supportive moms. Finally a bit of trivia: the artist at the prom (Baby Queen) has supplied several songs to the HS soundtrack.

Reworked version: Hi G&J- At the art show, a potential redemptive moment for Ben changes unexpectedly, subverting expectation. Q?: IYO, did Ben earn Charlie's forgiveness with his words (thus fullfiling your original predicted redemption arc for Ben this season)? Or did HS model a healthier way for victims of assult/abuse to move forward?

CareBear

IWTV 1x7 (Greg & Roxy): What do you hope that they’ll touch on in the next season? Anything specific that comes to mind after watching the finale?

Malik (Muh-Leek)

Heart 2x07-08: Hi G&J- Ben's story ends with him still beyond the rainbow's reach. A potential redemptive moment changes unexpectedly, subverting expectation. Q?: IYO, did Ben earn Charlie's forgiveness with his words (thus fullfiling your original predicted redemption arc for Ben this season)? Or did HS model a healthier way for victims of assult/abuse to move forward? (Bonus: Y'all joked about an LGBTQ+ "Avengers Assemble" moment, but Tara's call for decorating help and then the needle-drop slow-mo walk into prom is pretty much the queer romance equivalent.)

CareBear

INSIDIOUS (Andrew & Roxy) - Question the whole tiptoe thru the tulips camera work is great what is reaction to camera work in this movie there.

Jay Rushton

Next Friday: Hello Jons!! Absolutely love this movie! It's my favorite out of the franchise! What did yall think of the soundtrack?

PierretheReject

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE 1x7 (Greg & Roxy) - Question Armand being vampire was this reveal shocking and ever been to Paris France there.

Jay Rushton

Heartstopper: Hey Greg and John! I know we all hate Ben Hope (including Sebastian Croft, the actor who plays him), however I’d love to get your thoughts on him stepping away from the rainbow after he confronts Charlie, and what this might mean for the internalized homophobia that he very likely faces. I personally love that the show doesn’t shy away from this side of the queer experience, and leaves something for those young people who might identify more with Ben than with Charlie.

Nikki Sonrisa

NEXT FRIDAY (Jon & John ) - Question favorite actor in the movie there. My trivia is Michael Rapaport as Mailman with tax notice .

Jay Rushton

Heartstopper: Hey guys!! On the very last scene of the season when Charlie is leaving Nick's house after prom, they are playing a song called "Ur So Pretty" by Wasia Project which is Will Gao (Tao) and his sister Olivia's band. He's playing piano while Olivia is singing. Here's a link to the official video 👉🏻 https://youtu.be/_k2XcLsxXnw?si=6AkuW1BATdBUEqyU👈🏻 I love that song. Would you have done anything if you were at the dinner party when Nick's brother kept trying to "out" him to their dad?

Tara
