2026-02-19 07:16:04 +0000 UTCI just subscrived to watch this in full, i really think You guys are THE Best reactors Ive seen to this show, the fact that You took a second to consider all angles, and always keep in mind that they are all vampires, i feel that is the only way to fully enjoy the show. Also i think Daniel was right about calling Luis out on ripping out the Pages, the same way he ommited the diaries all toghether in the 70s, he is stil omiting or shfting parts of the truth he feels unconfortable with, and he hired an investigative journalist instead of a fiction novellist for his book

And thank you Roxy for not assuming I agree w/ the criticism (I don't). The statistic is accurate, as is the fact that many DV facilities are not equiped to accept male victims, thus preventing critical support for this group. Sadly this ep did put a temporary divide b/w some queer advocacy groups and DV groups, but overall the view of the show has been positive because as Greg and Roxy said, DV is a factor in all relationships, regardless of sexuality. I personally applaud the show for showing a very accurate representaion of abuse. It's clear the writers did the proper research and worked with DV advocates in crafting this story. Though incredibly difficult to watch, this ep enabled an important discussion b/w two communities who previously hadn't worked together much. Awareness is an important part of advocacy. So thanks to Greg & Roxy and to anyone who stuck around to listen to the discussion.
