Too bad—they’re not here to be eaten today.
The heel presses down lightly, the skin stretches tight, as if resisting.
Then—splat! In an instant, it bursts open, golden juice splashing everywhere, soaking into the floor.
No rush. Stepping back and forth, each press taking away more of its shape, squeezing the soft pulp out completely until it’s nothing but a sticky mess.
Finally, I stop and glance down.
The red boots remain polished, but the soles? Covered in remnants.
