I am working on a GAME - Are you interested?

For the past few months, I’ve been working secretly with a friend on an exciting new project: an RPG set in my fantasy universe.

This game is a blend of life simulation and roleplaying, where you take on the role of a character banished to a vast underground world filled with caves and dungeons. You have the freedom to shape your journey however you like. Combat plays a significant role, with opportunities to join fighting matches and tournaments.

Our aim is to create a solid RPG experience where mature themes are integrated naturally. The game’s design is highly flexible, allowing you to choose from various character backgrounds that influence the world and your character’s fate. There is no main storyline; instead, the game features numerous faction quests and side quests, encouraging you to craft your own narrative. You’re not a chosen one; you must earn your place in this world.

Key inspirations for the game include:

• Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura for its aesthetic and social mechanics.

• Fallout: New Vegas for its design and player freedom.

• Daggerfall for its open ended gameplay design and dungeon crawling.

• Kenshi: For the concepts of a harsh world and struggle where you must always improve.

The game features 2D pixelated graphics with detailed renderings for character appearances and major events. After battles, you’ll see 3D renderings, and mature scenes are also depicted in 3D.

Key features of the game:

• Play as a male or female character, with two distinct female designs (Zofira and a slimmer white-skinned redhead).

• One main town where you can rest, interact with characters, find faction headquarters, trade, join a fight club, and build your career.

• Dungeon crawling as a core gameplay element.

• A reputation system that tracks your actions.

• Custom art and custom 3D renderings.

• Combat choices - After you win a fight, you can choose what to do with your opponent for example.

• Companions and characters you can date and build relationships with.

• A harsh world where you must earn your place.

• The freedom to be a hero or a villain.

• Multiple factions to join.

• Background choices that shape your story. For example, choosing a dark magic student background gives you a dark book that triggers a unique questline. A brawler background starts you with enhanced fighting skills, while a thief background offers an exclusive questline related to your past crimes.

The game will be free to play, with a Patreon for additional support, as this is a large project involving multiple partners. Updates will be released to patrons first, and the game world will expand with your support. It is important to be clear that this is a huge project that I am not working alone on it, so the development will depend on the support we can gather on patreon and on your interest, of course :)
