Hello, my dears! I've recently read a book (actually 2 books) which kept me reading till late at night and that's a rare thing!
You, like me, like sword and magic fantasy adventure stories, with a good intrigue, action and compelling world building, I totally recommend giving "Among thieves: tales of the kin" by Douglas Hulik a try.
A very important notice - it doesn't have any heterosexual love interest for the main character (just VERY mild implications of prior affairs) and a VERY strong bond between Drothe ( a witty impulsive but incredible smart thief, the guy with black hair and some facial hair on my drawings) and his friend Degan (the blonde one, who's an an elite assasin, cold and calculating yet very caring for Drothe). And their friendship and conflict it has, is actually one of the key thing the story wraps around, especially in the book two. It has everything...bonding, conflict, fighting back to back, willing to sacrifice one's life and even more for each other, trusting their lives to each other, yet having to solve some serious problems in their relationship.
Which menas VERY shipey story!
If you've read and enjoyed it, please share your thoughts! If you haven't - give it a try!
