Alternative version of Target Aquired

This week’s post didn’t have any alt angles as they didn’t really work, so I’m releasing it with the alternative concept art for Target Acquired that I’d previously talked about. In this version I’ve got different lighting and a slightly different angle, and I hadn’t yet come up with the idea of using multiple helicopters to surround the couple. The biggest difference for me is the change in scale of the models. Here the couple are rendered at true scale (the models are scaled up and the city is actual size). There is less of a fleshy, human quality to the skin, although I think that the lighting might have something to do with that, and the lack of detail here. I do often use true scale, but ultimately here I didn’t think it worked as well so I rendered the final version in miniature. Or at least where the giants models are the size of normal humans and everything else around them is shrunk. But the camera angles and lighting might have been better here… What do you think? In any case I wanted to share these with you.
