Hello everyone,
It's been a while since my last update, and I want to start by saying—thank you for your patience, and I’m sorry for the radio silence. The truth is, I’ve been a bit unsure about what to post lately, since most of the work going on behind the scenes has been all about coding and rendering. But I also believe you deserve to be in the loop, so here’s a little behind-the-curtain look at what’s happening with Dorothy’s Journey.
Progress so far has been steady, though I understand it might seem a little slow from the outside. So let me break down a few reasons why this update is taking its time:
CG Quantity & Quality
Each event in the upcoming update will contain around 50 to 150+ CGs, making every scene feel weighty and cinematic. I'm putting a lot of work into making each moment feel meaningful and well-illustrated.
Character Model Overhaul
I’ve made significant changes to the character modeling process in Daz3D. This includes upgrading resolution and detail (yup, down to the pores!) which means longer render times. Each CG now takes around 15–30 minutes to render, depending on complexity. And don't even get me started on animations—a 3-second animation can take up to 3 hours to finish rendering.
Multiple Growth Routes
In this update, Dorothy’s next transformation will branch across three distinct paths—Dominant, Submissive, and Lover. Each route will offer a different growth sequence and unique content. That’s three times the work, but I believe it’ll be worth it for the narrative depth and player immersion.
Olivia’s Story Arc
If I want to properly tell Dorothy’s story, I can’t leave Olivia behind. While this update may not complete both of their stories just yet, it will officially kick off the three narrative routes for both of them, setting the stage for what's to come.
And as always, I’ve attached a few SFW CG previews to give you a little peek at what’s cooking.
Thank you all again for sticking with me, supporting the project, and being so understanding. Your enthusiasm keeps me going.
Sincerely,
Myon-San
