Lotus blinked. Chains weren't usually part of the experience - but she supposed the experience was why she was here. Long lived by her nature as a Jackal, Lotus made it a point to seek out new cultures and ways of life, which was how she ended up at the village filled with foxes.

They told her she was just in time for the big harvest festival, that she would see the yearly offering to the Goddess of Harvest and Prosperity and even get to partake in the festivities! Why, she just had to go along with their instructions and she would see everything their village had to offer.

But... that still didn't explain the chains.
