Safety Padding

This month our wonderful writer Rabidbadger has given us four shorts to put on Patreon!

This one contains: sci-fi shenanigans, weight gain and Anvery's Imradill

---

Assuming direct control.

“What? That- computer, what hit us? Are we-”

Imradill froze up, not because she wanted to though. The fuzzy purple and gold striped insect queen's flight suit seemed to turn into the equivalent of a rusted out suit of armor on her in an instant. She could strain against it a little, made some progress even, before she felt the link she had to her ship's systems hit her with a brief jolt of feedback that made her joints go limp. After which the suit was holding her up, not the other way around.

“S-stop this! What's going on?! Abort protocol!”

Impact with foreign body has put structural integrity and pressure integrity at risk. Abort denied. Safety protocols will be observed.

Breathing hard, Imradill's eyes shot about as she tried to figure out what the source of the ship's sudden alert status was. If they had actually been hit by something maybe it knew what it was doing? Nothing seemed to be wrong, though.

“R-run diagnostic! I- mmpgh!”

Imradill had almost missed it when the suit began walking. It didn't go far. Just over to the food dispensers, after which she was forced to watch as one of her hands stuffed the last remaining meal bar sitting in its pre-prepared state into her face while her other hand clumsily started working the controls on the unit. Changing settings, inputting an admin password, removing safeties- she could only follow half of it from the angle her head was at though.

Diagnostic of ship shows no damage. Three systems are undergoing maintenance. Two required firmware updates are installing. One recent wireless login attempt was made sixteen hours and four minutes ago.

“W-wait! Login from where? We haven't been near anyth-MMPGHF!”

As she struggled futilely Imradill watched her hands pull free a hose from the meal unit, the baseline shapeable matter that was used for printing food had many options for configuring it, but right now it looked mostly like honey. Tasted like honey too, and cream, and butter. Her insect-like physiology sent Imradill into shivering bliss as soon as her arms forced her to put the hose to her mouth. It only took a little coaxing for her body to start suckling at the thing after that.

And it only took a little of the mixture to start fattening her up.

Please wait until shock-absorbency and pressure-buffering protocol is concluded.

Imradill wanted to struggle, mostly anyway. She tried a few times, wriggling her arms some and trying to back away from the unit as her body thickened around her, but none of it worked. It only took a couple of minutes for the queen to sit down where she was, leaning against the wall, watching her belly swell and grow rounder. All around her she heard nothing but the machines doing their jobs and the air pumps working, and the sound of her own growth.

It was hard not to black out a little amid all that. Feeding incessantly, growing just as fast as tens of thousands of calories entered her body in short order. Imradill felt her weight pinning her down more every time she gathered together a moment of clarity, enough that at some point she knew her suit had stopped holding her back because gravity was doing the work instead. She could squirm, she could jiggle her bloated mass of a body – each segment of a big fluffy balloon stuffed with overly rich goo – but moving? Not without a loader or shutting off the gravity.

Protocol at forty-three percent.

A body-wide shiver ran through Imradill over that as she pawed at her body, squeezing the thickets parts of it. Her arms were as round as her abdomen had been before, or more. Her belly was as fat as she had been tall, and her ass was a massive fluffy anchor that would probably start attracting small objects if they did in fact turn the gravity off to move her.

How big she'd be before her broken AI was satisfied she didn't know – but she was going to get to find out.
