“What do you see in him?” My colleagues in the possession community would often ask me that. What do I see in Mike, my younger brother? I’m the most powerful possessor in our small-town chapter; I can possess awake people without getting noticed. These are the signs of an apex possessor. I’m powerful, and yet Mike is the only person I possess. While my colleagues ditched this town and looked for better bodies beyond state lines, I’m still in Mike’s body.
Is it the looks? There is no denying he’s handsome. Girls flocked around him as if he was the only guy in town. Is it fame? I already told you. He’s famous because of his looks. He’s got friends, and he’s got more. The body and prestige, I used to have it all. Believe me when I tell you that everything he was is just an emulation of who I used to be. Everything changed when a stupid drunk driver paralyzed half of my body and robbed me of my rightful future. I didn’t give up, though. I will return to my old life no matter what it takes. And that is what I just did. When medicine failed me, I sought the arcane and found a group that taught me how to possess people. I used my new powers to possess Mike for hours and freed him only when he needed to sleep. I didn’t know I was improving my abilities just by doing that. Now? I can possess him as long as I want.
To answer the question, “What do I see in him?”. Here’s my answer. I don’t seek to possess the bodies of bodybuilders for a strong body or celebrities for fame. I’m not a greedy man. I only wanted my old life back, and luckily, my younger brother was my ticket to that. His adoration of me was his downfall and my salvation.
