Quick Charcoal Sketches ✦ Sketchbook Spread
Added 2024-09-25 21:48:24 +0000 UTCThis is the first time I sketched with a charcoal pencil, and I love it! As you can see this is from a little while back, and I’m continuing to sketch this way.
These are all drawn from life. The tractor has been on the farm my whole life. It was originally used for haying- cutting, pulling the bailer, hauling bails. I would go for rides in it as a kid, making a giant pillow nest on the armrest.
I loved riding on equipment, and would even ride with the neighbors when they farmed our land for a while.
Now that tractor runs the grain auger. I have a habit of attaching a bit of personality to equipment so it’s kind of sad that this tractor used to be the most important piece of equipment. Now there’s a bigger one and it is left with one simple job.
The diesel truck has been around forever. It too has been demoted. It’s no longer even driven.
