Happy Wolf Moon to all the pack members this cold January. It's the dawn of a new time and thus I wanted to explore origins with this piece. While painting, I imagined this ritual to be one that the Werebears of the poles undertake at the start of each solar cycle, ushering in the curtains of light summoned forth from the howl of a willing tribute.
