April Update

If I was more clever I would have an April Fools joke lined up but instead I just decided to keep working on Moontouched hah.
Development is going at a steady pace! I've completed a number of backgrounds as well as a couple of CGs and animations for what will eventually become my first proof of concept in the form of a playable demo!
We're still a little ways out from that as I have a good chunk of art left to do, UI to design, music to MAKE (please pray for me), and coding features to implement. I've decided not to put any kind of release date out as I want to take the time it needs to be the best that it can be, I've seen enough game devs prioritize speed over quality in my life and I won't be following them. So thank you for your patience if you're here to follow the project
I'll be making a spontaneous trip out to see my Grandma in a few days and will be gone for a week or so. Her dementia is getting aggressive and this will likely be the last time I get to see her with any kind of recognition on her end. Good reminder to all of us to spend time with the people we love and let them know it

Hey S., I hope you have a good trip -- my dad had mild dementia in his last days and while we were spared the worst, it was still so painful and my heart and sympathy absolutely go out to you and yours. That also said, I'm still down for the opportunity to be a beta (haha) reader or writer in the future if the work gets too overwhelming!

I just have to save up a bit more funds in order to make that viable for the scope I have in mind. Definitely struggling to quell my perfectionist tendencies throughout this project so far hah. I'm honored to hear that you're interested in the project! I hope you enjoy it when it eventually gets into your paws. Never too old to enjoy some werewolves ;) In fact, I think the enjoyment gets better with age!

Remember that outsourcing can be incredibly useful (re: music) and that your art will change over enough time so nothing will be perfect. ^_^ Super stoked to hear there's more progress with Moontouched. It would be the first...uh...dating sim? (Idk I'm old!) that I'm interested in. lol.
