"Abyssal Connection" Paintover

Last month I approached Xae, one of the Pack Leaders here. I've decided to start offering quick paint overs for any of the Pack Leaders here on Patreon as a way to give more specific advice if any of you are artists as well and want a fresh eye on something that you're working with.
Xae was interested in exploring using lighting and value to communicate impactful emotion and his piece "Abyssal Connection" was the perfect jumping off point. We also pulled in a few elements from his original sketch and we aimed to try to find a way to bring a moon back into the composition. I recorded a video of the process for him and sent it out his way.
