Lordes of Racing - Part 1A (Graphic Novel Format, PDF Version)
While most Gifted Sovereign Ladies share some very distinctive physiological traits -- large, well-developed, and vascular muscular physiques -- their personalities and cognitive/ emotional make-ups are as different and diverse as snowflakes. On the spectrum of personalities ladies like Aleksa Krane are at one end of the cognitive/emotional wavelength and ladies like Penelope Neathergarden are at the other end. Some are pragmatic. Some are compassionate. Some are narcissistic. And some are sociopathic.
Lady Lourdes Lordes falls somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. While bearing a physique common to most Gifted Sovereign Ladies, including massively muscular thighs and calves, Lady Lourdes is not driven by the pursuit of fame or fortune. She does not seek power or influence. She is happiest when she is tinkering; using her head and hands to create something. But, she is the only Gifted Sovereign lady in the Lordes family. So, there is a tremendous amount of pressure and expectation placed upon her to do what is commanded of her, to perform. Thanks to an unexpected inheritance, her life has changed. she no longer needs to perform.
Motivated by the need to prove that she is more than just a muscular physique, and all the physical abilities that come with it, Lady Lourdes embarks on a personal journey of self-discovery by selecting a challenge no Gifted Sovereign Lady has ever chosen: to compete in the Race Across The Folly. A grueling contest of nerves and grit, the race takes participants into and through the uncharted region of the Carthagian Badlands known as Perceval's Folly, named after the intrepid Sovereign adventurer, Lord Perceval, who mysteriously disappeared while exploring the region.
With her hands and the help of her uncle's automaton, 'Maton, Lady Lourdes builds her own desert race car from scratch and prepares for the race. She has no idea what to expect from the competition. But, that's the thrill for her: racing into the unknown.
