You might have noticed that a few days ago we have finally reached our $5000 stretch goal. This has been around for a long, long time and I have always seen it as something of a turning point which will be the start of getting Hornstown to the next level. I can't thank you enough for your generosity and trust which allowed me to elevate this little hobby project of mine to a full blown GAME. I want to do everything I can so that it can grow and evolve even faster from now on, bringing new features and content to you.
Because...well because without your support there wouldn't be any Hornstown to speak of.
You are the best!
So, what are the changes you are about to see?
I have already been receiving help for several aspects of the game's development but from now on I will be working as the head of an 'official' three person Unlikely Team. This will allow us to address issues that have been neglected previously.
From the beginning of July we will respond to all bugreports, comments, reviews, questions about the game within three days at most. We are planning to open a discord channel as well where you will be able to reach us every day. There will also be plenty of extra infos, detailed walkthroughs, images and little blurbs of content from Hornstown on our social media channels if everything goes according to plan.
More importantly, the game is currently being converted into a Unity engine version. This is what will allow us to give you the promised full 3D animated avatars along with a much better UI, smoother gameplay and plenty of extra opportunities for development. The project dubbed 'Hornstown 4.0' will be available from August for Alpha Access patrons and from September to everyone else.
The whole game will be available right from the start (and hopefully with a lot fewer bugs than the previous conversion had). It will also be compatible with mobile devices and can be downloaded or played online at your convenience.
There is also going to be a change regarding content availability. I want to increase patron-only content for the game. This is something I have been planning for a while and I want to explain why.
When Hornstown (or rather 'Hornsville') started off, it had about 200.000 characters worth of text and code. The first update added about the same amount of content, meaning that the patrons, whose support was making it possible for the game to exist had about 50% extra content to play with for their generosity. Currently the game has 14.585.000 characters of written text and code. The 200.000 characters worth of content the patrons get a month early accounts for less than 2% of total available content. This is not even remotely the same, nor is it fair.
For this reason we are making a change. Starting from July there will be 'patron only' parts of the game. This only affects the new content, everything currently in will continue to be able to accessed by everyone. However, certain new storylines (about half of them) will only be accessible by patrons.
Last but not least, we are working an a new stretch goal, something really cool to put into the game if we grow even further.
So once again, thank you very much for making all this possible and we hope that you are just as excited to see this wonderfully pervy little town grow even further as we are. :)

That all sounds very good. I personally don't mind that content becomes publically available, but maybe after a year. There are people that are can't spare the money to become a patron. Another option could be that a one time donation unlocks the whole game, whith all content writen up to one year ago.
