Charlie’s music box (mini comic #392)

I’m sorry that all recent comics with Charlie has been angst, but once I got this idea I knew I’d have to draw it out!! It kinda just hit me, like what if the reason the puppet is so attached to the music box, and why they need it to be soothed is because that’s the same music box Charlie would listen to before bed?

I REALLY like this idea, I think it adds a lot to the puppets whole deal, why it’s so important, why it soothes them etc. It’s something familiar to them, feels like home where they were safe, it also feels fitting someone like Henry would implement something like this, especially if he figures the puppet is his daughter. Mean later he even makes lefty just to catch her,,

Despite this comic being so bittersweet, I actually did have fun drawing this out, especially the lighting in particular, I’ve overall been having more fun with the lighting, even in normal scenes, love getting very set light sources and working with. Anyway I hope you enjoy this comic!! Even if it’s sad! 🩵💜
