Teen bullies (mini comic #355)

One request I’ve gotten quite a bit when drawing the young versions of the main security guard crew, is for Michael and Vanny in particular to meet while kids

Seeing they both fall under this emo to alt aesthetic, this all being assumed from the little we know about each teen life, but I think it checks out more or less. In a lot of ways too, they have quite a lot in common. Mostly how they’ve chosen these looks, the way they act etc, is probably a direct result from their shitty dads.

Michael is definitely canonically a bully, bullied his own brother, had a friend group of bullies. So I can imagine he must of been a trouble maker, rude, probably the types of kids to smash pumpkins during Halloween etc

With Vanny we get less ideas on who she was as a teen, but we definitely have hints. We know she use to have dyed rainbow hair, suggesting she was emo or a scene kid. Also she didn’t like living with her father at all, so this gives me the impression she was your typical scene emo girl. Quiet keeps to herself, but seeing it’s Vanessa, I think she could talk back too. Stand up for herself to other kids, probably had a rude streak herself.

It’s funny to think of these two meeting one another, I think they’d be rude to each other at first, but after awhile I could se them getting along. Again similar backgrounds, they’d be the friends though that would still make fun of each other, butt heads etc but it’s never that serious. Maybe I’ll draw more of this dynamic in the future just cause it’s fun and kinda cute, Michael and Vanessa are two very lonely characters so them being friends is sorta sweet.
